Elbow pain is on the rise for athletes of all ages, but the answer isn’t always just treating the elbow šŸ’

True recovery means looking at the whole body (mobility, strength, power) and how much you actually move in your sport. Not to mention how fast.

A comprehensive sports PT assessment (like what Bobby Prengle, PT, DPT does) goes beyond the pain point to find the real cause and improve your performance… not just your symptoms.

Still struggling with elbow pain?

It might be time for a new approach that looks at the bigger picture.

Curious about getting your feet into zero drop shoes?

These flat-soled shoes can promote a more natural stride and help build foot strength, but they’re really not for everyone.

Before making the switch, consider your running form, foot strength, and goals.

Transition slowly, listen to your body, and don’t hesitate to consult a running specialist or PT (like Meg Pezzino, PT, DPT) for guidance.

The right shoe could help you run comfortably, confidently, and injury-free.

The best care happens when everyone (patient, PT, and doctor) is on the same page.

It’s about open communication, clear plans, and empowering you to understand your options and be part of the journey.

True healing isn’t just ā€œdoc fix meā€ā€¦ it’s a team effort with your goals at the center.

When your care team collaborates and you know the ā€œwhyā€ behind every step, outcomes are better and your experience is smoother.

Jaw pain, clicking, or headaches? You’re not alone with them.

TMD (sometimes called TMJ) affects millions, yet only a small percentage of people seek treatment.

The good news is that relief doesn’t have to mean surgery or needles.

Specialized physical therapy can address the root causes of jaw pain with hands-on care and personalized exercises/strategies that get you better without invasive treatment.

TMD doesn’t have to hold you back from literally laughing or living your best. We're ready to help you get the support you need.

Better backs mean stronger, healthier shoulders, and it comes from 5 pillars of upper body fitness:

🧘 Mobility
🧱 Stability
šŸ’Ŗ Strength
šŸ‹ļø Power
šŸƒ Endurance

Like Dan Alcorn, PT, DPT shares in his article, your scapula (shoulder blade) is the foundation for shoulder movement. Don’t just focus on the arm, train your whole back!

Mix up your routine with mobility breaks, stability holds, strength and power moves, and endurance work.

Let’s build you some more resilient shoulders, starting with Dan’s article and its excellent video resources (link in bio) šŸ”—

Summer is the perfect time to get outside and move, but if you’re a runner or spend a lot of time on your feet, heel pain from plantar fasciitis can put a damper on your plans.

Plantar fasciitis is common, affecting up to 10% of Americans in their lifetime. It can cause sharp, burning pain in your foot, especially in the morning or after activity.

The good news? Over 82% of people see improvement with 🤌 simple stretching and strengthening techniques.

James McAfee, PT, DPT (with MovementX in Seattle) recommends calf stretches, toe stretches, and towel scrunches, rolling a frozen water bottle underfoot, and heel raises to help ease discomfort so you can keep moving all summer long.

If you want to enjoy running and summer activities pain-free, our MovementX physical therapists can assess your movement, provide hands on care, and create a personalized plan to help you get back on your feet with confidence.

Living with POTS can make even simple movements feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone.

Physical therapy offers a structured approach to help you gradually build strength, improve upright tolerance, and manage your symptoms with confidence.

With the right plan and support (like you can get from Morgan Groover, PT, DPT) you can get back to doing what you love… not just what you absolutely have to do.

Get the skim on how physical therapy can help POTS in Morgan’s latest blog post (šŸ”— link in bio)

Healing is more than just patching up injuries. It’s about helping the body do what it’s designed to do.

A great physical therapist works with your care team (like Nathan Yokel, MD and the exceptional people over at Regenerative Orthopedics and Sports Medicine) to guide you back into alignment and teach you how to move properly so you can move better long term.

By addressing muscle imbalances and incorrect movement patterns, physical therapy stokes your body’s natural ability to heal to help you break cycles of compensatory movements and get back to living fully.

ROSM, MovementX, and stellar providers like Joy Scott, PT, DPT are here to help you along your path.

Think deadlifts are dangerous for your back? Think again!

Hip hinge movements, like deadlifts, can actually help prevent and recover from low back pain when done right.

The šŸ”‘ is finding the right variation and weight for your body, then building strength gradually.

From picking up grandkids to taking on daily tasks, training your body to handle real-life movements is one of the best ways to stay pain-free and resilient.

Our Story

Movement is life. It’s how we walk, work, run, play, & love–it’s how we experience our world. We believe that when you can move your best, you can live your best.

X represents the intersection of your best movement & best life. It’s running your personal best in a local 5K, working all-day without neck pain, or bending down to pick up your grandkids. At MovementX, our goal is to help you achieve your X.

Our two co-founders, Josh D’Angelo, PT, DPT & Keaton Ray, PT, DPT, knew there must be a better way to care to provide more convenient, transparent, & personalized physical therapy care–so they created one.

People seek healthcare to be helped & transformed into their best selves. But today’s traditional healthcare system can get complicated & frustrating when you have to deal with long wait times, rushed time with your doctor, and generalized advice that just doesn’t work.
