: In our Special Report, Investing in Health Pays Back, we spotlight NEO Office PH—a WELL at scale trailblazer in the Philippine commercial real estate industry, proving that health-focused strategies deliver real results.

NEO analyzed seven building assets that, while averaging 16 years in age, pursued WELL Certification or a WELL Rating, incorporated health-focused features to boost occupant satisfaction, well-being, market appeal and differentiation.

Their analysis showed the following:
→ Vacated spaces re-leased in just 6.5 months (on average)
→ Only 20% of spaces required reinstatement
→ 1 in 4 new tenants committed to long-term leases (10 years)

Investing in health not only boosts well-being and satisfaction, it also drives stronger real estate performance.

Introducing: the Global Commission on Healthy Indoor Air! With world leaders gathering at the UN during Climate Week, healthy indoor air is having a moment, a seismic moment.

The quality of the air we breathe inside is directly tied to our health, to our ability to learn and work, and to our collective resilience in the face of climate change. Poor indoor air is linked to heart disease, respiratory illnesses, asthma, allergies, diminished cognitive performance and lost productivity. And the burden is not shared equally. We know children, the elderly and vulnerable communities bear the heaviest costs.

But today marks a new era of recognition, coordination and action.

On an historic day kicked off by organizations and governments signing on to the first-ever Global Pledge for Healthy Indoor Air, a seminal rallying point that underscores our shared commitment, we have launched the Global Commission on Healthy Indoor Air to carry the momentum forward. The Commission is a first-of-its-kind, high-level coalition of nearly 170 world-renowned experts, scientists, public health leaders and industry pioneers from building design, real estate, manufacturing and technology, representing more than 30 countries.

Over the next two years, the Commission will work to inform decision-makers, accelerate innovation, unlock new sources of funding, shape policy and raise public awareness so that the health, economic and societal benefits of healthy indoor air can be recognized, prioritized and realized at scale.
