As unforgettable as Antarctica’s raw beauty and Chile’s coastal charm were, soaring 30K feet above the legendary Andes and the vast, rugged expanse of Patagonia was an unexpected highlight that truly took my breath away.

From Buenos Aires to Santiago—and onward to Tierra del Fuego—the views were mesmerizing from all directions!

Had such an awesome time catching up recently with my longtime college friend & fraternity roomie, Mike, and his wonderful wife Wendy in Seattle!

Not only did we luck out with spectacular sunny Seattle weather, but it was truly special reconnecting in person after nearly 7 years.

Moments like these remind me how the friendships formed during our university years really do last a lifetime.

🌅✨ Southern Skies, Stellar Sights! ✨🌌

One of the many unforgettable highlights of my recent journey to Antarctica and Chile was returning to the Southern Hemisphere — where the skies truly put on a show.

With virtually zero light pollution, the Antarctic continent and Chilean coast gifted us some of the clearest, most dazzling night skies imaginable.

Spectacular sunsets, delicate crescent moons, and the brilliance of Orion were all stunning…but the real joy for me was seeing the Southern Cross again in nearly a decade since my last trip below the equator. 🌟

Moments like this remind me how blessed we are to witness the beauty of our planet — and the heavens above.

🇨🇱☀️ CHILE IS CHILL! 🍷😎

On this cold, dreary, and drizzly Chicago day, I’m especially grateful—and definitely missing—the sunshine and spectacular wines of Chile’s beautiful Casablanca Valley.

One of the highlights? A wonderfully leisurely afternoon at Kingston Winery, sipping crisp organic Chilean Chardonnay while enjoying a delicious cheese and charcuterie board with vineyard views all around. 🧀🍇🍷

From polar adventures to Chilean chill, I’m feeling incredibly grateful for these unforgettable moments of travel and taste.

🍷☀️ Sip Happens…Chilean Style! 🇨🇱✨

What an absolute joy visiting the renowned Casablanca Wine Region, just a short drive from our perch in Viña del Mar.

Wine tasting here is delightfully different— no rushing, no swirling-and-dashing. Instead, you relax for 2–3 leisurely hours of food, wine, and breathtaking vineyard views. Must be the Chilean way 😌

Our five-course lunch at Matetic winery, known for its organic, biodynamic wines, was a full-on culinary experience — authentic Chilean flavors perfectly paired with local vintages. Add in stunning sunshine and sweeping countryside views, and it was simply unforgettable.

Be warned…sharing pics of our gastronomical gusto! 🍷

Grateful for days like this — where time slows down and life tastes just a little sweeter.

🌊😎 CHILLIN’ CHILEAN STYLE! 🇨🇱✨

After 10 days on the Antarctic continent — and navigating the mighty Southern Ocean — what better way to unwind than 8 glorious days along the stunning Chilean coast in Viña del Mar?

Our private Airbnb is perfectly perched high on a cliff, serving up breathtaking Pacific Ocean views and the soothing soundtrack of crashing waves below.

From polar ice to coastal bliss…Chile truly is the place to chill. 😂

Grateful for adventure — and equally grateful for relaxation. ☀️

🌎 Patagonia: Hiking at the End of the World — And Loving Every Step! 🥾 🏔️

We made it back to South America — crossing the infamous Drake Passage in record time…thankfully more Drake Lake than Drake Shake! 🚢😄

Our reward? A glorious day in Puerto Williams, the southernmost city in the world, perched at the very tip of Tierra del Fuego in Chilean Patagonia.

After days of icy winds and polar clouds, we were blessed with sunshine and warmth for a stunning two-hour hike along the “Ruta del Fin del Mundo” (Route at the End of the World)!

With sweeping views and even a distant glimpse of Patagonia’s dramatic peaks across the Argentine border, it felt like nature’s grand finale to our Antarctic expedition.

Pure awe. Pure joy. Pure Patagonia!

Now we board our “Antarctica Airways” flight back to Santiago…stay tuned — the adventure isn’t over yet! 😉✈️
