Paws of Enchantment Premiere holistic dog grooming spa in the Montgomery County/Washington DC area.

DC-area holistic pet spa offering fine grooming in comfortable, stress-free environment. Natural products used and all dogs treated as individuals...with respect and consideration. Fridays are "Small Dog Social Fridays" where our "regulars" come to play all day (and are groomed at some point during their fiesta). Reiki, chiropractic, animal communication, and anesthesia-free teeth cleaning, and aromatherapy clinics. Flower essences, crystals, essential oils and gentle forms of aromatherapy used on the premises. Our philosophy is that "we all are one...hands, paws and all" and believe that providing top quality care in the light of love, compassion and respect will somehow carry forth to the rest of the universe, and therefore help promote unity and peace.
..all while having a fantastic grooming done for your dog! We groom all breeds, with specialties in Yorkshire Terriers (adorable and special pet trims) and Wheaten Terriers (show and pet trims), and hand stripping.

Perfect home sought: Cat loving friends, Phoenix and Sage were part of a huge rescue I helped with ten years ago and they lived for many years happily at my salon. They got along well with dogs til they were jumped by a Westie puppy and then became reactive with dogs. This made it sadly unsafe to continue mixing them with my own personal dogs. In 2020 I closed my salon and moved them to my current home where they live in the sunroom but have always been seeking a permanent living home for them where they can be part of the family. I finally found this home and they lived for two weeks loved by children and their mom, sleeping in people’s beds and really having an upgraded experience in life. It now turns out one of the kids is allergic and they need to be rehomed immediately and I am hoping for a better life for them than being relegated to the sunroom again. I love them but do not have the resources of time, energy to give them all they need. They are amazingly beautiful smart affectionate lap cats and primarily Maine Coone in breed. They must go together and be indoor cats and beloved. DM for more info. Please share with cat loving friends. Thank you.

Chewy’s spa day!! Chewy used to hate grooming once upon a time…now he comes to Paws of Enchantment where he gets egg for lunch (in between his bath and his haircut…as I promised him or rather as we agreed upon together) after which he relaxed and fell asleep on my table (grooming table). We then finished and he picked out a couple of healing crystal charms to wear. I love this sweet boy! Chewy makes the world go round! Dogs make the world go round! I hope everyone and their pups and all the animal friends have a super best super chewy infused day!

New champion, Loki! I have been doing communication for the amazing Berners in Loki’s family for years. One of these dogs was a gentle soul named Vasca, who guided all of the others. After his passing he still continues to guide the other dogs and forge even stronger connections between their people and their other dogs. At one point it was suggested for the owner to ask the older dog, Vasca, who had passed on, to help with calming one of the younger and wilder ones. In reading for Loki it was also obvious that he had the extra sparkle with which to really make it in the show ring. This is the message I received this morning: “Great news! After your suggestion to ask Vasca to help calm our crazy boy Yannis, I reached out to Vasca and asked him to tell Loki to really strut his stuff in the ring, to listen to Aunt Malissa (his handler) and show what an amazing boy he is. It must have worked, and he won this morning’s event” Great example of animal communication in rearing the bond between person and dog as well as the timelessness of spirit. Huge congratulations to Loki’s family and breeder! Huge thanks to the gentle spirit of Vasca for remaining available as a source of connection and support for his family
