So many clients come to me telling me they feel stuck — and these are the most common reasons why I find people feeling this way.

They say insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results but we do it all the time with the next new shiny thing that comes up with nutrition.

Building a healthy relationship with food that serves you isn’t super sexy, but take a second to imagine a day where eating feels easier, you feel confident about your food choices and no longer ridden with unnecessary guilt and shame.

I shared some ways to manage IBS that were diet related and here are some that are non-diet related! Balancing the diet with the non-diet is key for symptom resolution.

Note about movement: too much of a good thing is a bad thing. Gentle movement like taking a walk, stretching, yoga, etc. can be really effective! If you are moving too much & not eating enough, this will actually exasperate symptoms!

Alternate title: all the things I used to do when I thought I was being healthy but really was orthorexic.

Do you struggle with any of these? If so, you’re not alone. These behaviors have become so normalized that sadly, a lot of times they are actually praised. I remember when I was deep in disordered eating people would also make comments about how jealous they were that I was so “disciplined”. Really, I was obsessed.

You don’t have to live trying to control your food & body. 🫶🏻
