It’s Fiber Friday, y’all! I’ve been out sick for WAY too long, but I’m back and ready to throw some fiber info your way 🙌 When people talk about fiber do you nod along with a vague idea of what they’re talking about? Even as a dietitian, in the early days, I only had a general idea of what fiber is, how it works, and why it’s SO good for our bodies! Happy Fiber Friday, friends! 🎉 So if you know how much fiber you need and you have a good idea of where to get fiber, how do we put it all together and make a day meal plan to meet our fiber goals?? At 25-28 grams a day for a woman between 19 and 50, I need to make sure I get in plenty of fruits, vegetables, beans, grains and nuts. Lets do this 🙌 These meals combine protein, fiber, and fat with our carbs to help balance our blood sugar - and they just taste good too 🤤

It’s Move It Monday, friends! Let’s move these amazing bodies of ours today 🏃‍♀️‍➡️Super easy ways to incorporate some movement during a desk-centered work day include: resistance bands strapped around your knees while you open/close knees, under-desk pedals to move your legs regularly, and desk treadmills that let you walk while you work. Other options are to just stand up and walk around every 30 minutes or so. Celebrate what your body can do and let it work for you by using up that extra blood sugar and keeping your levels balanced!
