As the week winds down, our Crisis Response Canines teams remained alongside the Old Dominion University community, continuing to offer support, comfort, and connection.

This deployment has been especially meaningful to us. With team members who are alumni and others who have family currently attending ODU, this community feels very close to home. Being here is not just part of our mission—it’s personal.

Throughout the week, we’ve witnessed incredible strength, compassion, and resilience across campus. Students, faculty, staff, and families continue to show up for one another in ways that truly reflect the Monarch spirit.

Our canine teams are grateful for every moment shared—whether it’s been a quiet pause, a conversation, or simply time spent together. These connections matter more than words can express.

As this week comes to a close, our support does not. We remain committed to this community and will always be ready to stand alongside ODU whenever we are needed.

Thank you for welcoming us in and allowing us to be part of your community. 💙

Crisis Response Canines was honored to attend the Eastern Area Convention of Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous, which welcomed over 1,300 attendees for a weekend focused on connection, recovery, and mutual support.

CRC Community Resource K-9 teams K9 Jolene and K9 Scooby were present to provide comfort and encouragement throughout the event. It was a privilege to witness such a strong and supportive community dedicated to hope and healing.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the organizers for including us in this meaningful gathering.

We are incredibly honored and deeply grateful to receive such a generous donation from Denny Field in loving memory of his son, Hayden.

Denny, thank you for trusting Crisis Response Canines to carry forward Hayden’s legacy in such a meaningful way. Your support helps us continue providing comfort, hope, and healing to those who need it most—something that truly honors Hayden’s spirit.

We are also so touched by the shirt you gifted us. Our handler, Hollee, will proudly wear it in honor of Hayden, carrying his memory with her as she serves others.

Hayden’s light will continue to shine through every life touched because of your generosity. 💙

In Louisiana, CRC K9 Lavy provided support to hospital and EMS personnel following the sudden loss of a beloved colleague, mentor, and paramedic.

With a focus on compassion and connection, Lavy helped guide moments of reflection and supported staff as they came together to grieve and honor a life that made a lasting impact.

We remain committed to standing alongside those affected, offering continued support as this community navigates loss and remembrance. 💙🐾

Our Crisis Response Canines teams were honored to be part of the MCRD Drill Instructor Graduation & Resource Fair in San Diego, CA. It was a privilege to support service members and their families during such an important milestone.

Crisis Response Canines teams continue to support the Old Dominion University community 💙🐾

K9 Smoke and K9 Ducky shared plenty of comfort, connection, and smiles across campus—spending time with students, staff, and administrators, and visiting memorial sites with care and respect. They also spent time with university police officers and detectives, offering support and a brief but meaningful respite from the demands of their work.

We’re honored to stand alongside the ODU community and remain committed to providing support every step of the way. 💙

Our teams were on the ground at Old Dominion University today, standing alongside students, faculty, and staff during a difficult time.

We kept things simple, offering quiet support, steady presence, and the comfort of our canines to anyone who needed a moment to breathe. Because of that, we didn’t capture much… just a few photos in between being where we were needed most.

These moments may look small, but the connections made mean everything. We’re honored to be there for this community. 🐾💙

Fire personnel we worked alongside included crews from the U.S. Forest Service and U.S. Fish & Wildlife, with fire teams deployed from Idaho, Oregon, New Mexico, and Colorado.

These wildfires burned a record number of acres across Nebraska. On Saturday, extreme conditions—record high temperatures, critically low humidity, and high winds—led to dangerous flare-ups that destroyed three response vehicles.

Grateful for the bravery, coordination, and resilience of every crew on the ground.
