We were honored to host Her Excellency Ambassador Frederieke Quispel of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Uganda, accompanied by Bouwe-Jan Smeding, Deputy Head of Mission/Head of Development Cooperation, Elin Hilwig, SRH Policy Officer and Wiljan van den Brandt, Assistant Controller, at the DKT International - East Africa Uganda office. During their visit, we provided a tour of our trade partners, including Lydia Partner Clinics and Pharmacies, and our state-of-the-art warehousing facilities.

This visit also celebrated the successful extension of the ACTUATE program, with an additional USD 3.6 million in financing, bringing the total contribution to USD 11.5 million since 2021.

Through this vital partnership,DKT International and our consortium partners have achieved remarkable progress. In 2024 alone, we generated;

1. Over 800,000 Couple Years of Protection (CYPs), contributing to one-fifth of Uganda’s national Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) target,
2. We averted over 600 maternal deaths
3. Reached over 12 million people with SRHR and Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) sensitization.
The extended support from the Dutch government continues to empower us to deliver quality, affordable Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) products and services, strengthen private-public sector linkages, and reduce the unmet need for family planning in Uganda.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Uganda for their continued trust and support in advancing SRHR in Uganda. Together, we are building healthier, more empowered communities.
