My Pure Romance Story!

It was a Saturday night and I was home, with my dog, watching TV. I hate to admit it, but I didn’t have a huge social life. I didn’t have a core group of women I hung out with regularly. I mean besides my sister; I didn’t have many female friends. I could honestly say I was a loner. I had a full-time government job and I hung out occasionally, but I honestly didn’t do much after hours.

So, on this particular night, my college roommate, who lived on the West Coast, was back in town and she texted me. She was in D.C and wanted to know if I’d like to come to her friend’s bachelorette party. I looked at the text and I started to feel overwhelmed. Like literally, I was anxious because this party wasn’t on my agenda. I am an extremely introverted type “A” personality. So even though I was doing absolutely nothing on a Sat. night and I was bored, the thought of going to a party that was unscheduled and with people I didn’t know - made me sweat!

But for some reason, I sucked it up, put on some clothes and drove into DC. I hate to drive into DC. Parking is horrible and I can never figure out which red light is for me. And don’t get me started on those traffic circles!! OMG...I’m lucky I haven’t taken anyone out yet. By the grace of GOD!

I get to the party early and help set up. I get to know the Bride-to-Be and my college roommate’s BFF. I felt partically comfortable, they seemed to be a good group of women. Then I found out a toy lady was coming, and a stripper! LOL, I had never been to a toy party before and I was definitely intrigued! :-)

The woman comes setup and do her thing. I had a great time and was ready to buy something! LOL But honestly, what intrigued me the most was the party itself. During the entire demonstration, I kept thinking, “I can do this!” “I wonder how much money she’s making.” So, when it was my turn to go into the shopping room, I said, “How can I do what you’re doing?”

Three days later, I said “Yes!” to the opportunity and opened a door I didn’t know I needed!

I joined a sisterhood like no other.

That was 7 years ago.

In the last 7 years, I’ve built a tribe of women who I can reach out to at any time and chat with, have dinner with, laugh, cry, vent and just be myself with. If you go through my phone, you will find pictures of me at trainings, meetings, conventions, vendor events, dinners and parties!! And in all of these photos, you will see my immediate tribe of Sister Consultants, and the host of women that I’ve met along the way. I have met women who started out as customers and now they are dear friends.

So why did I join and what keeps me going....

My friends!

This business has grown with me and many things have changed. But the one constant is the support and friendship with my Team! I am never in business by myself!

P.S. The money, tax write-offs, free trainings, free products, corporate sponsored trips and AMAZING products don’t hurt either!!

P.S.S I am also still friends with the Bride-to-Be and the BFF!!
