With school starting back up, the importance of teaching s*x education is more crucial than ever. It's not just about biology—it’s about empowering young people to make informed decisions about their bodies and their rights. Parents and caregivers can help shape these important conversations.

At Red Tent Fund, we believe that everyone deserves access to education and the freedom to choose. Here are some resources to help you get started:

🔗 Resources for Parents & Caregivers:
Advocates for Youth – Inclusive, age-appropriate resources for talking about s*x education.
The American Academy of Pediatrics – Tips for age-appropriate conversations about puberty and s*xual health.

We can create a future where reproductive freedom is respected and upheld by empowering young people with knowledge about their bodies and rights.

🗣️ Let's keep the conversation going. Share this post to spread the word.

Last week in Atlanta, our founder & executive director, Alli Tombros Korman, joined an inspiring panel at Sacred Choices: A Jewish Call for Reproductive Justice. 💗

Alongside advocates, faith leaders, and medical experts, Alli lifted up the urgent work of providing faith-affirming abortion support and expanding access nationwide.

We left energized by the stories shared, the solidarity in the room, and the collective commitment to protecting reproductive freedom for all. ✨

A huge thank you to our photographer, Shay, for capturing these moments!

September 4th is World Sexual Health Day. This year, one of the focus areas is s*xual justice.

Abortion bans, barriers to contraception, funding restrictions, and stigma threaten women and girls’ s*xual and reproductive autonomy. When people can’t make decisions about their own bodies, there is no justice.

Meet this month’s Hero with Chutzpah: Leora Tanenbaum! Leora is a feminist, writer, editor, and slut-shaming expert best known for coining the language “slut-shaming” in her classic 1999 book, “Slut!”

In her new book, “Sexy Selfie Nation: Standing Up For Yourself In Today’s Toxic, Sexist Culture,” she shows that young women are living with relentless nonconsensual s*xualization, and says that we must support, not critique them.

Leora connects her work to her Jewish upbringing, noting that the fight for reproductive freedom and women’s rights has roots going back to biblical times. In the Torah portion about the Daughters of Zelophehad, the daughters persevered to claim their inheritance, setting a precedent women’s rights. Leora reminds us to take our ancestors’ chutzpah and run with it.
