I did a thing.
I wrote my story.

It's been said that we are haunted by the stories we don't tell.
Consider this my exorcism.

This book is my testament to the radical
shift I experienced—from clinging to a
fixed mindset birthed by the pain
paradigm of trauma and abuse to
embracing a Life where growth,
pleasure, and inner harmony reign. It is
the story of how I continue to break free
from a world of conditioned suffering
and nurture the divine energy within. I
draw upon my personal transformation
that includes an initiation into a
profound African spiritual tradition that
awakened my consciousness and
guided me back into a healthy
relationship with myself.

Here, I invite you to journey with me as
we deconstruct the myth of perfection,
dissolve old paradigms, and co-create a
reality rooted in what I like to call the

🕯️ Wellness Insights From a Black American Sangoma & Conjure Woman 🕯️

There is a path that is laid out for you, the point of which is to wake you up to the truth of who you are.

This awakening happens as we become intimate with the nuances that exist WITHIN ourselves as we move from one state of consciousness to another.

I started out as a traumatized preacher's kid with no sense of self. I have since been initiated into a deep understanding of this liminal space, guided by my experience of ancestral healing, deconstruction, integration and posttraumatic growth.

Your own ability to shift the polarity on your perspective is the key to reframing your experiences and writing a new narrative.

I know you're busy with your life, and I want to honor that 🥳. At the same time, there is a wound you've been carrying that needs to be addressed so it can heal.

Spirit has released me to offer you access to Ukwenyuka: Divine Feminine Rites of Ascension, designed for trauma survivors. It's a little less demanding than traditional initiation practices, which usually require that you leave home for training.

This is a guided first step in your journey towards holistic wellness after trauma. Ukwenyuka was designed especially with Afro-Indigenous, q***r, female trauma survivors, ages 14+, in mind; although all who are called to heal are welcome. This makes our program unique, even among other healing programs.

1 in 4 Black girls will be sexually abused before the age of 18. Black girls and women 12 years and older experienced higher rates of r**e and sexual assault than White, Asian, and Latina girls and women from 2005-2010. 30% of Black women with documented histories of childhood sexual abuse were sexually assaulted in adulthood. The statistics for q***r women are even higher.*

Ukwenyuka offers a disruption to this troubling cycle of abuse. This shamanic rite of ascension is designed equip young women affected by trauma with the appropriate tools to heal, recover, and thrive. Ukwenyuka breaks down, in easy to understand terms, a traditional, culturally-relevant path to holistic healing. Ukwenyuka combines the African American spiritual tradition of Hoodoo with other ancestral healing modalities to create a one-of-a-kind ascension experience.

Healing after trauma takes time, effort, patience, compassion, and tons of support. Survivors of s*xual, womb, and birth trauma and their ancestors deserve to receive healing and aftercare: Body, Soul, and Spirit!

This will satisfy your ancestors for the time being, and will prepare you for further initiation, if you are so called. There are three cohorts and each one is priced at $600, payable in installments, if necessary. You'll receive certificates of completion as well as a Medicine Woman toolkit once you complete the program.

The Maiden Cohort begins in July.

The first time you actually stand on business and take steps necessary to protect your peace might be one of the saddest, most emotional times of your life.

Your nervous system might feel like it's going haywire because heretofore, you've made yourself palatable to others at the price of your own peace. And now, you're shifting. And shifting is rarely comfortable as it comes with its own share of grief.

So allow yourself to hold both feelings; be proud of yourself for enforcing your boundaries and being a good steward of your energy AND cry the tears that come with shifting paradigms. Grieve the people-pleasing fawner so that the confident you can take up that space.

Life is rarely either/or. It's ok to be and/both.
