Dub is a certified yoga teacher who taught in Kathmandu, Nepal. His spiritual yoga practice is built on the traditional yogic philosophy of the Himalayas. Dub found and lost yoga 20 years ago and it wasn’t until a triumphant battle against cancer that he was reminded of his old gift. He looked for it and dusted it off immersing himself in a yogic lifestyle. Dub shares his knowledge of the traditional yoga he learned in Nepal with his students -- a practice that is grounded in meditation where Asanas (postures) are only one of the yogic tools available to achieve Samadhi (complete realization/divine consciousness). Dub’s philosophy is steeped in the yog commandment of “steady and comfortable.” Life is tough enough for yoga practice to become an added burden. His teaching style aims to advance practitioners’ holistic growth as its cornerstone. He enjoys a powerful “Om” and r emphasizes “my favorite asana is smileasana” Dub explains “because it gives practitioners the opportunity to exercise their heart and facial muscles in the happiest of ways.”
Dub founded Zen Zone Yoga for the singular purpose of creating a space for practitioners to reclaim their true state of zen through yoga. Yoga prominently conjures thoughts of flexibility, fitness and health. These thoughts are only manifestation embodied by dedicated practitioners, but the essence of yoga is holistic. There isn’t a nook or cranny of a practitioner's life that yoga doesn’t touch invoking a balanced approach. Yet, yoga is not an all or nothing lifestyle as different people have varying reason motivating them to practice yoga. Zen Zone Yoga takes that into consideration and offers a path that satisfies practitioners’ needs with an eye on advancing their holistic health of mind, body and soul.
