Not only is this a great idea for sensory play… it’s also fun to strengthen little feet! Have kiddos try and pick up little toys (like the hearts pictured) with their toes and place in a bowl!

Lavender Rice is a wonderful way to add sense of smell to your sensory play.

I worked in batches to make a large quantity for our rice bin. I made the following recipe 3 times.

12 cups or rice
1 teaspoon lavender essential oil
4 tablespoons of water with a few drops of red and blue food coloring.

I mixed well and then spread it out on our dining room table to dry for a few hours.
