Middle eastern kabob/ kufta is always in our rotation in the summer, so easy, delicious and a family favorite!
Ingredients
3 pounds ground beef (I like to use
80/20 blend for this but use what you prefer)
1 large onion
1 Medium tomato
1/4 of a jalapeño (optional)
1 tablespoon fresh garlic chopped
1 cup whole parsley leaves chopped
½ cup crackers crushed
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon sumac
1.5 teaspoons allspice /baharat
Chop all your veggies as small as possible. You can also pulse this in a food processor but make sure to strain all extra liquids. Mix all ingredients together, shape onto skewers, grill about 7-10 minutes on each side. You can also make this indoors on a skillet, or bake/broil in the oven!
* if you don't have skewers you can just shape them and grill.
* You can always make these ahead and freeze and pull out as needed!
Love serving this with fetoosh, hummus and yellow rice!
