While studying puppetry at the University of Connecticut Jean Marie discovered a love for hats and feathers. After years of apprenticeships under couture milliners and completing her studies at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology, Jean Marie has stepped out on her own to offer her original creations at reasonable prices. Her cocktail hats, bridal wear and feather work can be found in many of New York City’s downtown shops and boutiques. With the advent of Covid-19 in the states, Jean Marie expanded her offerings to include face masks, scrunchies and doggie bandanas. 50% of all face masks made are donated to essential workers and people in need. Her work is not limited to millinery though; Jean Marie also works as a Producer, Builder and Performer of puppetry in theater, tv, commercials and motion pictures.
