My nephew was diagnosed with Type One Diabetes when he was just 2 years old. Let me tell you how strong this little boy is. He has been poked and prodded with Lancets, to check, and needles to correct......he's been through a few devices like the dexcom and now has an omnipod which keeps an eye on his levels and doses him insulin as needed. His mom is a complete Rockstar (and a part time pancreas) keeping this kid going where his body has failed to provide. If you are uneducated in the Type One World, and want some insight please reach out and we will throw all the info at you. The daily struggles are life long (for now) which is why we are hoping for a cure! Unfortunately im having to shut down Brea's Tees for a few weeks during our move, so I didn't get to design a shirt for donated proceeds this year, but if you have a little extra to donate this year for the holidays or just out of the kindness of your heart, we ask you to please donate to JDRF! JDRF is a nonprofit 501 organization that funds type 1 diabetes research, provides a broad array of community and activist services to the T1D population and actively advocates for regulation favorable to medical research and approval of new and improved treatment modalities. NEEDS A CURE!!!
