April is Occupational Therapy Month! At WRMC, our Occupational Therapists wear many hats...

In the outpatient setting, our OTs specialize in orthopedics, lymphedema, splinting, dry needling, pelvic health, and perform cognitive driving evaluations.

In the inpatient hospital setting, they assess patient's upper body strength, activity tolerance, dressing, bathing, and toileting and how these can impair their activities of daily living. They work with the Care Managers to help determine the safest discharge location and provide recommendations to help them maximize their independence.

Our Occupational Therapists strive to help each patient with their deficits, whether it be pain, range of motion, strength, fine motor coordination, edema, or men's or women's pelvic health disfunction. All this is done with a customized plan to return to your personal goals for daily living.
