Join us on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Watsonville Civic Plaza Rooftop for an unforgettable evening under the stars.

This year, the Watsonville Community Hospital Foundation proudly recognizes:
• Dr. Maria S. Granthom, OB/GYN – receiving the inaugural Compassion in Action Award for 46 years of advancing women’s health and caring for generations of families.
• Dr. Miguel Vasquez, Cardiologist – receiving the first Golden Heart Award for more than 40 years of pioneering cardiac care and advocacy in our community.

The evening will feature a rooftop dinner, live music, and live and silent auctions—all supporting community-centered healthcare for the Pajaro Valley.

Watsonville Community Hospital is home to California’s first hospital-based food pantry—and it’s changing lives.

In partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank Santa Cruz County, the Nourish program provides free, healthy food to pregnant moms, newborns, and families facing nutritional challenges in the Pajaro Valley.

With nearly 7,000 visits to date, Nourish is more than a pantry—it’s a hub for:
✔️ Nutritious groceries
✔️ Prenatal class sign-ups
✔️ Support groups
✔️ Nutrition education
✔️ Access to vital social services

💬 “Nourish decreased the stress levels of having a newborn baby by keeping food on the table,” says local mom Angelina Ornelaza.

This innovative program is helping improve long-term health outcomes—one family at a time.
