Vista Health System was proud to take part in the Zion Annual Senior Resource Expo in a meaningful way, alongside our Care Team and members of Vista Physician Group—coming together to deliver on-site health screenings and expand access to preventive care resources within our community.
This impactful event brought together nearly 200 participants and close to 40 vendors, all dedicated to serving and supporting our senior community.
Our team conducted screenings for over 50 individuals, assessing key health indicators including blood pressure, oxygen saturation (SpO₂), BMI, and respiratory status—helping connect community members to valuable insights about their health.
As a Primary Stroke Center in this region, our Stroke Coordinator provided one-on-one education on stroke recognition, prevention, and the urgency of timely care when every second matters. Our Bariatric Coordinator offered personalized guidance on nutrition and overall wellness, while our Surgery Preadmission Registered Nurse delivered hands-on screening support and guidance—collectively working together to deliver individualized support for each person.
Members of Vista Physician Group also supported screening registration and shared information on preventive care services, from primary care to specialty services such as interventional cardiology and gastrointestinal (GI) health.
We were honored to connect not only with residents, but also with dedicated community leaders, including Cheri Neal, Supervisor of Zion Township, whose leadership continues to make this impactful event possible each year, and Mayor Billy McKinney of Zion, IL, who also participated in the health screenings—both reinforcing their commitment to the health and wellness of the Zion community.
A special thank you to the Zion Township team and the many vendors whose partnership and dedication made this event possible. Your commitment to serving our senior community is truly appreciated.
We are deeply grateful for the support and recognition shared by our community. It strengthens our purpose and reinforces our commitment to delivering compassionate care—because our community is at the heart of everything we do.
