Waushara S.H.I.N.E.S would like to give thanks to the Wautoma Police Department and Deputy Loyd from the Marquette County Sheriff's Department, who courageously sat in our dunk tank this year at the fair, and made this event a huge splash!
We are deeply grateful for the ongoing community support from Wautoma Taco John's, Culver's, and Shell Gas Station. Your consistent generosity year after year for the fair means the world to us!
A very special shout-out goes to daiseye Knickerbocker Landing, Horseradish K+M, and Soul Hammer (located in Princeton, WI) for providing generous gift cards and gift certificates. Your contributions were incredibly generous!
To those of you who took the time to create those impeccable gift baskets, we appreciate you! The baskets were gorgeous!

They're BACK!

The Wautoma Police Department is returning to the fair this year! This is your once-in-a-lifetime chance to legally dunk a cop!

Chief Mott, Lieutenant Rosin, Officer Lauritzen, and Officer Lewandowski have courageously volunteered for our dunk tank. These brave souls are willing to get absolutely DRENCHED for a great cause - to support recovery!

So, come on down to the fair to get your sweet, sweet revenge and watch these officers shriek like kids when they hit the cold water!

We are so grateful to Saxville 500 for inviting Waushara S.H.I.N.E.S. to be a volunteer at the races on Saturday! A HUGE shout-out to Corey P and Scott B for making this wonderful opportunity possible - you guys rocked it! The proceeds will help SHINES continue to offer free services for those in need, and we were truly touched that they put the Waushara S.H.I.N.E.S. name on one of the racing vehicles - what an incredible honor for our organization! We're already looking forward to being asked back next year. Thank you again, Saxville 500! Communities supporting Communities is where it's at!

Our first brat barn of the year was an incredible success, and we are overwhelmed from the love and support our community has shown us. Your generosity was truly remarkable and will continue to help us provide services to those who need them.

Thank you to those who showed up last night to support someone very special to SHINES. A person who really makes an impact in our recovery community. We see people come and go, but the real ones stay and share their lived experiences so that others can hear the message of hope.

Michelle Podoll (Micki).- you're the real deal! Thank you for always being that beacon of hope for so many people who are just beginning their journey. Your courage to share your story, your willingness to be vulnerable, and your commitment to being present for others is the epitome of what recovery is all about. You continously show up, share your truth, and who holds space for those still struggling. You are proof that recovery is possible, that hope is real, and that none of us has to walk this path alone.

Moe and I would personally like to thank everyone who came out to show your heartfelt appreciation to him last Friday night. The look on Moe's face when we yelled "Surprise!" was priceless! We got him good!

A special thank you to Jon A. for grilling, Karen B, Shelly B, and Rick K for the photos. To Julie B, thanks for your unconditional support in everything you do for me. 💖

Moe was completely humbled when he received the thank you card with the donations collected for him. As we settled in for the night and he got to reflect on what the recovery community did for him, he was truly grateful. Shh... don't tell him, but I even saw a tear. Thank you again for helping me share this moment for him.💝

Thank you to REACH Waushara for inviting us to participate at Run For Hope. Waushara S.H.I.N.E.S is honored to outreach anytime when it comes to supporting mental health awareness. Events like these are crucial in our collective effort to stop the stigma surrounding mental health challenges. By coming together as a community, we help create safe spaces where people feel comfortable seeking help and sharing their experiences without fear of judgment.

Congratulations to everyone who walked and ran in the race today. It was amazing to see all the solidarity. Each step taken represented our shared commitment to mental health awareness and support.

It was great vending next to Alpine Nutrition. Christina, thank you for sharing your healthy delicious drinks with our community. These nutritious options perfectly complemented our mission of promoting overall wellness.

We would also like to thank our volunteers who showed up to make things happen. We appreciate your support!
