Waushara Shines

There's such a bittersweet feeling in returning to the Hope Center in Waukesha, a place where I once sat on the other side, seeking help myself. Yesterday, we had the privilege of serving this wonderful community a hot meal and providing clothing, jackets, shoes, and hygiene products to those in need. I am forever grateful to our Waushara recovery family who made this possible.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the Waushara S.H.I.N.E.S recovery community for showing up and making outreach events like this happen. Billy Jack, your organization of this outreach project does not go unnoticed. We thank you! And to all our wonderful volunteers who drove two hours to support this meal and donation drive, we are forever grateful for you! 💖

We are so grateful to everyone who came out to celebrate with us last night. We appreciate you showing up! Congratulations to all our BINGO winners, we hope you enjoy your prizes! 🎁

A huge shout-out to Kat K for taking first place in the Ugly Christmas Sweater contest, you absolutely rocked it, girl! 🤑

We want to give a special thank you to Moe and Shelly. Moe, the food was absolutely spectacular! Your cooking never fails to amaze us, and we're already looking forward to the next time! Shelly, we are deeply grateful for your generosity in bringing presents for everyone. Your thoughtfulness and beautiful selflessness mean the world to us. 💝

And to everyone who stayed behind to help with cleanup, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your willingness to help out doesn't go unnoticed. 🤗

What a beautiful way to close out recovery month! Art therapy with Gretchen Wood was truly special - thank you Jonathan Ahrens for connecting us with such a gifted person. To everyone who showed up and poured their hearts into their art, thank you for your courage in sharing your thoughts and emotions with us. And thank you again to all of you who came out for the recovery bonfire last night. The amazing treats, the genuine laughter, and the deep camaraderie is what recovery is all about!
