We are excited to share that our “Survival Was Step One” event will be taking place this September. The exact date is still being finalized, but we wanted to give everyone a heads up so you can start looking forward to a powerful day of connection, healing, and community.

This event will bring people together to honor the strength it takes just to survive and the courage it takes to keep going.

✨ What to expect:• Powerful guest speakers sharing real stories of survival and recovery• A Memory Table to honor loved ones we’ve lost and those still fighting• New event shirts that attendees will get to finish themselves by adding their own message to “The moment I chose to survive was ______.”• Free food for everyone who attends• A day filled with support, hope, and community

Because the truth is — Survival was step one. What comes next is healing, connection, and rebuilding together.

March United is preparing for our 2026 Recovery Awareness Event, and we’re excited to start bringing the community together again!

Tonight our committee is meeting to begin planning this year’s event. We’ll be discussing themes, speaker ideas, event layout, t-shirt designs, and organizations that would like to set up resource tables to support individuals and families impacted by addiction and recovery.

This event is about hope, healing, and reminding people that recovery is possible.
