Did you know police and sworn deputies receive 640 hours of training in order to become officers in NC?

I'm happy to share, after passing the state exam, completing the course work, and finishing my practicum; I have received my General Instructor certification from Southern Piedmont Community College, via the Criminal Justice Standards Division, I can now teach the non-law enforcement blocks of instruction in basic law enforcement training (BLET) .

This certification was definitely one of the most challenging achievements in quite some time. I am glad I persevered and am excited to continue serve the first responder community.
