Affirmation:
“My faith reminds me that better days will come.” 💜

Even in seasons of grief and waiting, faith anchors us in hope.
It reminds us that healing is still possible, joy can return, and God is still working — even when we can’t see it yet.

✍🏽 Reflection:
Name one area where you’re still believing for healing.
There’s no rush. No pressure. Just honesty and trust.

Holding on to hope, one step at a time. 💜

Week 4 — Holding On to Hope

As we enter Week 4, we pause for a moment of surrender.
A moment to release what’s been weighing on our hearts.

“God, help me let go of what I cannot change.”

The memories we can’t rewrite.
The questions we can’t answer.
The outcomes we can’t control.

Today, we make room for peace, healing, and rest.
What’s too heavy for our hands is safe in God’s care. 💛

Affirmation:
I honor the ache that shows up unexpectedly, the heaviness I carry quietly, and the truth of where I am today.

When holidays hurt, the hardest moments are often the ones we don’t talk about —
the ache that appears out of nowhere,
the emotions we carry without explanation,
the effort it takes just to make it through the day.

💜 Activity:
Take a moment to acknowledge what you’ve been holding inside.
Finish this sentence in your journal or notes app:

“One thing I haven’t said out loud this season is…”

No pressure to fix it.
No need to explain it.
Just honesty, compassion, and grace for yourself.

Your truth matters.
And honoring it is part of your healing. 💜

“God meets me in my pain.”

Grief brings up emotions we don’t always expect — sadness, anger, confusion, longing, even moments of peace.
Every feeling that surfaced this week mattered.
Every emotion had something to say.

💜 Activity:

Take a moment to pray over each emotion you’ve written this week.
Ask God to hold it, heal it, and help you release what’s too heavy for you to carry alone.

Your feelings are safe with Him.
Your heart is safe with Him.
And even in the hurt, God is present.

Emmanuel: God With Us

Matthew 1:22–23 “‘The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel’ (which means ‘God with us’).”

The promise becomes personal — God with us.

Week 3 — When Holidays Hurt

Welcome to Week 3 of the Holiday Grief Series: Faith, Healing & Hope —
our focus this week is When Holidays Hurt.

Grief doesn’t follow rules.
It doesn’t move in straight lines.
And it doesn’t require you to be “okay” just because the world around you is celebrating the holidays.

As we step into this week, remember this truth:
It’s okay to not be okay.

💜Activity:
Give yourself permission to feel what you feel.
Write one sentence that begins with:
“Today, it’s okay that I feel ______.”

No judgment.
No pressure.
Just honesty, compassion, and grace — right where you are.

Your emotions don’t make you weak.
They make you human.
And God meets you in every single one of them.

Affirmation:

“I am grateful for the love we shared and the memories that remain.”

Grief teaches us that love doesn’t disappear — it settles into the places where memory and gratitude meet.
This week, as we honor our loved ones, take a moment to reflect on what still lives beautifully within you because of them.

Activity:
Write down three things you’re grateful for about your loved one.
Maybe it’s their laugh…
their advice…
their impact…
their essence.

Let gratitude remind you that their presence may have changed, but their love is still very much alive.
