May is mental health awareness month and I would like to share part of my story. A few years ago, I had a mental health crisis. Western medicine failed me and, frankly, exacerbated my condition. After months of seeing different specialists, taking a leave of absence from work and waiting for help, I started seeking integrative therapies. I flooded thousands of dollars on my mental health with zero outcome until I found my reiki therapist. She saved my life. If not for her and my partner, I would not be here today. This experience has changed the way I look at healthcare as a Registered Nurse AND as a Reiki Master. This is why I do what I do. I want to prevent this being your story. I want to help save your spirit from what grief, overworking, daily life and acute events can do to you. I want to help you in the days you need someone the most, as someone did for me. You are worthy of goodness and joy.
