If this week has felt heavy — you’re not alone.

We live in a broken world, and some weeks remind us of that more than others. But as Christians, we don’t carry the weight alone. Jesus said, “Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

It’s okay to take a step back. To rest. To grieve. To process. But don’t lose sight of the truth: God is still on the throne. Evil does not win. Lies do not have the final word.

Take time to pray. Open God’s Word. Rest in His promises. And then — stand firm. Speak truth. Love boldly. Lead with conviction.

We are called for such a time as this. Stay grounded. Stay faithful.

But even in the hardest seasons, there are still small, sacred moments to hold onto—like a quiet sunset, a deep breath, or the warmth of a loved one’s hug.

Pause today.
Look up.
Let the light remind you that hope still exists.

Deeply saddened by the recent news in the Parker County community.
I’m reminded of how vital it is to check in on our loved ones—especially our children.

My heart is heavy for the families and community members who are grieving today.
Please don’t underestimate the power of a simple conversation.
𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐮𝐭. 𝐋𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧. 𝐁𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭.

𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠?
Here are some signs to watch for:
• Withdrawing from others
• Losing interest in things they used to enjoy
• Falling grades
• Sleeping much more than usual
• Lacking motivation

If you notice these signs, talk to them—𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭. You’re not alone, and neither are they. If you need extra support:
• Contact a school counselor or mental health professional

Finding purpose after becoming Mom

Motherhood changes everything—including your sense of self. The things that used to define you—your job, your goals, your identity—can feel like they’ve been put on pause or erased altogether. And while caring for your child might be the most important thing you’ve ever done, it’s normal to ask: Where do I fit in now?

Finding purpose after becoming a mom isn’t about going back to who you were before. It’s about figuring out who you are now—with all the new pieces that motherhood brings. It might mean redefining success. It might mean pursuing something you never considered before. Or it might mean learning how to make space for yourself without guilt.

There’s no one path—but there is a way forward. And it starts by giving yourself permission to take time for yourself more, and learning more about who you are.

🎉 Thrive Family Therapy is officially ONE! 🎉

This past year has been an incredible whirlwind, and I couldn’t be more proud. There have been moments of fear and anxiety along the way (and let’s be honest, they still pop up!), but every challenge has been worth it.

Through this journey, I’ve met so many amazing people and witnessed incredible moments that only the Lord can orchestrate. I continue to lean into Him through the ups and downs, knowing He has a greater purpose for Thrive in the Parker County community.
