In the final weeks of pregnancy, your presence and your words truly matter.
At The Knox Birth Center, we believe birth is a family experience, and empowering the partner to be a strong, steady support is part of our care.
Simple affirmations can go a long way in reminding her she’s not alone.
Save these phrases. Speak them often. Watch her shoulders drop and her heart steady when she truly feels them.

The Knox Birth Center was born from a love for the families in our community and a deep belief that mothers deserve care that is both safe and heartfelt.
We’re here for the moms who want to be seen as more than a chart. For the families who want to birth in peace, not pressure. For the babies who deserve to be welcomed gently.
You’re not just choosing a birth center, you’re choosing a philosophy. A way of birth that says: you matter, your story matters, and your care should reflect that.

Support Groups for Postpartum Depression & Anxiety
Forming soon at The Knox Birth Center
We’re in the early stages of forming small, supportive groups for parents experiencing postpartum depression and anxiety. These gatherings will be safe, honest spaces where you can share your story, be seen, and feel supported by others who truly understand.
If this is something you’ve been needing or are simply curious about, we’d love to include you as we bring our first group together. Dates are still coming together, but the heart behind this is strong. Send us a message through our website or give us a call if you’d like to be part of this first circle of support. You don’t have to walk this journey alone.

At The Knox Birth Center, we offer two types of genetic testing through Natera® to help you learn more about your growing family:
🩸 NIPT (Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing)
A simple blood test during pregnancy that can reveal your baby’s gender and screen for chromosomal conditions like Down Syndrome. Non-invasive and safe, it provides valuable insights about your baby’s health.
🧬 Advanced Carrier Screening
Performed before or during pregnancy, this test helps determine your chances of passing on an inherited genetic condition, giving you peace of mind in your care plan.
Have questions or ready to add Natera® testing to your care? Reach out to us, we’re here to support you with both science and heart.

Can I spoil my baby by holding them too much?
It’s a common question we hear and the answer is beautifully simple.
Your baby just spent nine cozy months inside you. The world outside is bright, loud, and unfamiliar. Being held is not spoiling them; it’s their instinct for survival and safety. You are their home.
We encourage both parents to spend intentional time skin-to-skin and babywearing. Embracing these moments regulates temperature and nurtures the deep, secure bond you’re building as a family.
And yes, a sweet big sister holding baby is pure magic, because love multiplies in every cuddle.
Holding your baby is never the wrong choice!

At The Knox Birth Center, we believe your environment matters.
That’s why each of our birth suites is thoughtfully designed with comfort, calm, and connection in mind.
This is more than a room, it’s your cozy space to feel relaxed and safe as you birth your baby.
And while the space feels warm and welcoming, all necessary medical supplies are discreetly hidden, ensuring your safety is always within reach without disrupting the peaceful atmosphere.

In October, we hold space for every parent who carries love and grief in their pregnancy and parenting journey.
For the babies born and lost.
For the pregnancies that ended too soon.
For the baby names we lift up in prayer.
Mama, you are not alone and your grief is not forgotten. Your baby’s life matters.
At The Knox Birth Center, we see you. We honor your story. And we remember with you. If you want to share your baby’s name with us, we would be honored to remember them with you!

Pregnancy advice we wish someone told every first time mama……
❤️ You’ll need way more diapers than cute newborn outfits and not just the newborn size. You will use far more size 1 diapers.
❤️ It’s okay to say no to visitors. Protect your peace!
❤️ Labor doesn’t always start like in the movies. It can be slow, messy, and beautifully ordinary.
❤️ You don’t have to “get everything done” before baby comes. You’re allowed to just be.
❤️ Learning to trust yourself might be the biggest and most powerful part of birth.
❤️ You’re not obligated to share or justify your choices to anyone.
What do you wish someone told you before your first birth?
At The Knox Birth Center we believe your first birth shapes you in ways that last a lifetime. That’s why we share freely and hold space for real honest conversations.

At The Knox Birth Center, we believe your body works best when it’s nourished and cared for.

We’ve seen it time and again, when mamas fuel their bodies with real food, sip water between waves, and move in ways that help their babies find their way down, something incredible happens.

The body finds its rhythm.

The baby responds.

And birth unfolds just as it’s meant to.

Labor is hard work. You wouldn’t run a marathon without nourishment and care…..birth deserves the same.
