Iron Overload & Hemochromatosis: How To Lower Inflammation

Everyone talks about iron deficiency like Anemia.

But no one talks about if someone has too much Iron.

Iron overload is real. In certain individuals, excess iron drives oxidative stress through the Fenton reaction producing hydroxyl free radicals some of the most damaging reactive oxygen species in the body. aka BIG INFLAMMATION.

You can take antioxidants to fight inflammation but antioxidants don’t remove stored iron causing the problem.

Chelation therapy? Maybe.

Does Keto Help Treat Schizophrenia & Bipolar Disorder? Was RFK Jr Right or Wrong? (Share This Article!)

Recently, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. claimed the ketogenic diet can cure schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

Some applauded.
Others lost their minds.

But the real issue isn’t politics. it’s definitions. Words matter.

Most people arguing online don’t distinguish between cure, treatment, and remission and that’s where confusion starts.
What Do These Words Actually Mean?

Cure: Permanent elimination of a disease and its root cause. No return. No ongoing intervention.
Example: Antibiotics eliminating a bacterial infection.

Treatment: Manages or reduces symptoms without removing the root cause.
Example: Statins lowering LDL cholesterol.

Complete Remission: No detectable symptoms, but the condition can return if triggers come back.
Example: Type 2 diabetes in remission on a low-carb or ketogenic diet with normal A1C and no meds.

If that person returns to a high-sugar, ultra-processed diet, symptoms often return.
So was it a cure or diet-dependent remission?

What About Keto & Mental Illness?

Emerging research by Harvard psychiatrist Christopher Palmer in Brain Energy suggests schizophrenia and bipolar disorder may involve brain energy and mitochondrial dysfunction.

Ketogenic diets can:
• Stabilize blood sugar
