From Americans for Homeopathy Choice Action:
Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to send in comments — we are truly grateful. 💛
Even though our official deadline has passed, you can still submit a comment, and they absolutely still count. We set a deadline because the moment a bill is introduced is a high-traffic period on Capitol Hill, and we wanted to maximize our visibility and impact right at that moment. In addition, our seasoned members of the Homeopathy Action Team (HAT) are actively meeting with congressional offices right now. Walking into those meetings with a flood of recent constituent messages already in the system significantly strengthens those conversations.
So truly — thank you. Your voices matter.
At this point, some of you may be receiving responses from your members of Congress, and I know how frustrating or discouraging those letters can feel.
Please know this: you are not alone. Many people are receiving nearly identical responses. In most cases, the member of Congress never even sees the reply — it’s typically drafted by a junior staffer using boilerplate language pulled from FDA materials or a quick online search.
After eight years of working on homeopathy issues on Capitol Hill, here’s the hard truth: a one-off email usually gets a quick glance and then gets set aside. By itself, it rarely moves the needle.
What does make a difference is relationship-building, especially with the congressional staffers who work directly for your member of Congress.
Those staffers — often young, smart, and overworked — are the ones who keep Capitol Hill running day to day. When an office hears consistently from a trusted constituent — someone who understands the issue, can answer questions accurately, and follows up — that office starts listening differently. Over time, those relationships are what actually change positions.
That’s exactly why we created the Homeopathy Action Team (HAT).
HAT members are trained and supported to:
• Build real, ongoing relationships with their congressional offices
• Accurately educate staffers about homeopathy
• Become a trusted, go-to voice on this issue in their district
If the form letters you received left you feeling frustrated, that’s often a sign you’re ready for the next step.
I strongly encourage you to consider joining the HAT Team here:

We truly need an army of trained HAT members working with congressional offices if this legislation is going to pass.
When you visit the link, you’ll see exactly what the commitment looks like. Training usually takes about 1–2 hours a week for a month or two, and once training is complete and you’ve had your first meeting with your office, most HAT members spend just 1–2 hours a month staying engaged.
That’s where frustration turns into real influence — and where we’ve seen offices genuinely shift over time.
I really hope you’ll consider stepping into this role. 💪✨
