What a great use for a hula hoop!

HULA HOOP TO ENCOURAGE PIVOTING AND CRAWLING

Why is crawling, tummy time and pivoting so important? All of these skills are great for depth-perception, core muscle, digestion, posture and crossing the midline. All important for the brain and future development of copying notes from the chalkboard, attending and focus, sitting still in their chair, etc. Love it!

WIC Update

October 2025 -
"Benefits are available for WIC members. At this time, you can use your WIC benefits, attend WIC appointments, and do not need to take any action. The Wisconsin WIC program is fully funded through the end of October."

Their website below will be updated before the end of October with more information about funding for WIC benefits.

Economic Impacts of the Government Shutdown in Wisconsin

Why this happening:
The situation in Congress (The House and Senate are not in session "Government Shutdown")

The House, passed a "continuing resolution" to "continue" funding the Government under the resolution that they passed during the Biden administration. The resolution then went to Senate for them to pass the "continuing resolution". The problem: The Senate needs 5 more members to vote "yes" to pass it. Instead, those 5 senators that keep voting "no", are keeping the Government shut down; and instead want the House to vote on a separate bill, that has nothing to do with the "continuing resolution"; resulting in the shutdown. There was talk of the Senate re-opening the government tomorrow, but it isn't looking like that is going to happen.

WIC had said that they would still be serving families, but they probably were not expecting this to go on this long. Check with them to see if they still are able to. If not, check with your area Food Pantries to see if they have formula.

SNAP benefits are being effected, as well as Social Security checks.
