In my BE WITH BODY dance/movement therapy program, we focus on something different – reconnecting with your body, learning to listen to its signals, and practicing movement that shifts patterns of stress, anxiety, and self criticism.

This isn’t about working harder or doing more. It’s about tuning in, feeling, and building trust and safety with your body.

If you’re tired of feeling at war with your body and emotions and ready to experience something different, this program could be for you.

I’d love to hop on a call and explore whether Dance/movement therapy and working with me is the right fit for you!

This program is virtual and welcome to women all around the 🌍

To manage anxiety we need to get out of our heads!

We do this by

1. Building connection with our body

2. Creating new patterns in response to stress

These two steps require embodied movement to transform how you experience anxiety & respond to stress

Which step do you struggle with most? How has movement helped you with this?

Let’s talk about it below ⬇️

Don’t know about you, but it is so hard to be embodied when my surroundings encourage disconnection at every turn.

It is so hard to stay with my feelings when they are uncomfortable and disconnecting offers a quick fix

The messages are on regulation and control rather than just feeling

And we are unsure how to listen to our bodies or trust what they tell us because the world teaches us the opposite

Our experience of being human is being questioned and redefined and prescribed.

I don’t know about you but this stresses me out!

I can feel the toll that disembodiment takes and it makes me crave creativity, connection and expression

How does it make you feel??πŸ‘‡

The more movement we explore, the more emotions we can express.

By challenging ourselves to move in new and different ways, we create opportunities for growth, self discovery and emotional resilience.

Movement is a pathway to greater emotional freedom and expression. We can cultivate greater sense of flexibility and fluidity, both physically and emotionally by exploring a variety of movements.

We become more attuned to our body sensations and more adept at navigating complexities of our emotional experience through moving in new ways.

This increased range of motion in the body mirrors our expanded capacity to tolerate and express a wide range of emotions.

Diversity in our movement creates diversity in sensory input which creates new connections and patterns between brain and body.

Expanding our movement leads to expanding our capacity to process, tolerate and express emotions.

What new way can you move today? πŸ’ƒπŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈπŸŽ‰

Is embodiment your natural state?

How are you moving through your day? Through the world?

Are you present?

Are you stressed? How does stress impact being in the body?

Is embodiment comforting and positive for you?

Or is it a foreign concept?

I’d love to hear TRUE or FALSE, if embodiment feels natural for you πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

The rhythm of our heartbeat and flow of our breath are constant reminders that our body is always in motion, always evolving.

Our minds seek safety in the known- wanting to name an experience, wanting to know the why behind something, always seeking answers.

But growth and transformation lie in embracing change and the innate wisdom of our body.

Sounds so easy right?

What are some of the blocks you have experienced that make it hard to embrace the our bodies and the change we want?

Mind or Body?

Why is it that our world continues to separate the mind and body? We look to cure the body with little to no attention to how it connects to our thoughts, feelings and relationships. Similarly, our emotional health has roots in nutrition, movement and sleep and yet it is rarely a topic of psychotherapy.

With over 17 years experience as a Dance/Movement Therapist and Wellness Educator I am in a unique position to help clients connect to the roots of wellness by exploring the relationship between body and mind. In therapy, we will go beyond talking about what you think and feel, but also breathe, move and embody those thoughts and feelings. We will also dive deeper into your physical health habits. How well do you sleep? How do you nourish your body? How often do you move in your life? Do you feel a sense of community and belonging in your life? Our work will focus on embracing and empowering our whole self to be able to find true health and wellness.

If you have struggled to understand or experience the connection between body and mind in your life, please reach out for a phone consult. It is my mission to help connect you to the Roots of Health, through body, mind and community.
