Drip those faucets tonight.

To help prevent freezing- PREVENT is the key word, by no means a guarantee.

***Leave water running (finest stream you can get) on a faucet inside the house, both hot and cold side and preferably on the faucet furtherest from your hot water heater. David Howell's exact quote was "all faucets you want to keep, or the one furtherest from hot water heater" (that makes sense) You may have a water bill, but hopefully you want be cleaning out a flooded house or fixing pipes- the water bill is cheaper I promise.

***Hot water pipes will freeze, dont let anyone tell you diffrent- let it drip/run as well.

***If you live in a home with a crawl space, close all outside vents leading under your house to prevent cold air flow getting to your pipes and them freezing that way.

***Wrap outside faucets in a towel and cover with a plastic bag- nothing fancy just get it covered and somewhat insulated.

****Leave the cabinet doors open where your plumbing is under your sink, so the warm air flow keeps circulating to warm them as well.
