Welcome to Rising Tide Fiber Co! Our Etsy shop showcases a selection of our repeatable colorways that can be dyed on any of our yarn bases.

We're an indie yarn company that hand dyes our yarn in small dye lots to create highly saturated semisolid, tonal, and varigated colorways. I’m an online math instructor for a local public school system. I work with high school students who cannot participate in the traditional classroom setting due to medical, emotional, or discipline issues. We live on the Roots and Tides Scenic Byway in Southern Maryland. I walk our four Boston Terriers each day on one of the many local boardwalks down on the Chesapeake Bay. So I get to see the rising and falling of our tide each day. Hence the name of Rising Tide Fiber Co.!

This year, I’m launching a new yarn series inspired by the iconic films of Nora Ephron. To me these are stories filled with wit, warmth, cozy moments, and big feelings.

Ephron Essentials is a month-by-month colorway release.

• Inspired by a memorable moment, place, or feeling from a film
• Fully revealed at release
• Not a subscription or club

Think yarn with a story. Meant to be cozy, thoughtful, and just a little nostalgic.

We call them the twins, but they were simply littermates. I would never suggest getting two puppies at once because it takes a ton of effort to prevent littermate syndrome. But these two definitely keep the place lively! Their personalities couldn't be more different! Happy Birthday to Legend and Petal.

It's pattern release day for and her Flannel Crush Collection. I had the pleasure of test knitting the cowl pattern. It's a fabulous pattern that would knit up as a quick Christmas gift.
