Time with the more-than-human world isn’t about escaping the reality of the human world; just remembering there are other realities and truths much larger and more enduring than ours..

Walking on the land this equinox, I am noticing all the usual signs of autumn: the leaves revealing the different pigment hidden throughout summer; the mule deer fur transitioning from butterscotch to grey. But then, vibrant blue flax and wild geranium - a new crop! still young amidst the aging maple leaves! Life in this time can be circular as well as cyclical. And definitely not linear… May I mirror that pattern as the numbers marking my age grow higher.
