Happy 187th birthday of naturalist/conservationist/visionary/“Father of National Parks”. 🌲🎂 150 years ago Muir promoted what we might consider a “modern ecological insight” - that humans are part of “nature”, entirely interdependent and dependent and human well-being depends on an ecologically balanced and healthy natural environment.

I also like imagining what he was like as a grandfather 😌
