December 1: today, l.a.Eyeworks joins individuals and organizations worldwide in observance of World AIDS Day / Day Without Art as a day of remembrance, witnessing, determination, action and hope. Having honored this day since its inception, we wish to draw attention this year to:
>> The recently inaugurated “STORIES: The AIDS Monument” in our community of West Hollywood, presents an evening of prose, poetry and connection with the APLA Writers Group and the One Institute from 5:30-6:30 at the Monument, followed by a reception at One Gallery from 6:30-8:30.
>> A special shout out to the vital work of our friends at Visual AIDS. For 2025, with more than 100+ screenings worldwide, Visual AIDS presents “Meet Us Where We’re At,” a program of six newly commissioned short videos — go to video.visualaids.org to find a screening near you.
Visual AIDS is also the recipient of proceeds from this year’s edCFDA Pride Eyewear Initiative that featured dedicated designs by Blake Kuwahara Eyewear, PRESS, Krewe, and l.a.Eyeworks.
