If you go to the gym after years off, you expect to be sore. We accept that that’s part of getting stronger.

But when it comes to your skin, suddenly any dryness or irritation feels “wrong?”

Here’s the reality:
Controlled, short-term stress on the skin is how it improves.

Lasers. Peels. Microneedling. Even Retinol.

Aspiration isn’t a 100% fool-proof way to know if you’re in a vessel, but it’s an easy way to add a layer of safety for your patients.

I use a cannula for a majority of my injections, but when I’m using a needle, I ALWAYS aspirate. And this is why.

I saw the positive aspiration, withdrew the needle immediately, held pressure, then calmly moved on and the treatment was completed successfully and the patient was thrilled with his results.

You can’t build a house using only a hammer.

Neuromodulators and fillers are incredible tools, but they have their limitations.

If your skin isn’t healthy, then your results will be lackluster and over time, they won’t be as effective because of how the aging process affects your tissue.

I’d honestly rather have a patient skip a Tox treatment and invest that money in skincare or a laser than try to keep chasing lines that aren’t going to be fixed with Tox.

Why avoid the carboxymethyl cellulose?
1. It increases the risk of nodules if injected
2. It can clog your needle/cannula during injection

With this trick, slow and steady is the key.
