Every Monday @ 6:30 PM we are doing -YOGA IN ART- on Chung King Road. Suggested donation $15. Bring a mat.

So we do something interesting with yoga on Chung King Road. We do yoga in art spaces, specifically in the galleries on Chung King Road in Chinatown LA. It started as a way to have studio space and as a way to activate our pedestrian street on days the galleries aren’t open. It's interesting to consider if the art has an impact on our practice. We’ve practiced in soldier art, in comic porn and in and around installation. You kinda have to experience it to know what it will be for you. Currently, we are practicing in the Good Luck Gallery, curated by Paige Wery and the only gallery in LA to specialize in outsider art. Join us Monday nights at 6:30 PM @ the Good Luck Gallery, 945 Chung King Road.

So we do something interesting with yoga on Chung King Road. We do yoga in art spaces, specifically in the galleries on Chung King Road in Chinatown LA. It started as a way to have studio space and as a way to activate our street on days the galleries aren’t open.

It's interesting to consider if the art has an impact on our practice. We’ve practiced in soldier art, in comic p**n and in and around installation. Currently, we are practicing in The Good Luck Gallery, curated by the wonderful Paige Wery who holds the only gallery in LA to specialize in outsider art. Tonight's practice was held in Art Moura's assemblages. I don't know about everyone else, but the practice felt especially tribal to me.

Last night we did a moon practice... It's a challenging practice, not because of the poses, they are quite simple actually, but because we hold poses longer and there isn't much movement, we instruct the body to be still and to minimize the involuntary movement (the eyes, the shaking of the legs, the moving of the fingers)... We are working directly with the mind, trying to stabilize the fluctuations of the mind...
End of practice contemplation... What can you resolve today, to finally make peace with within you?
