Making a healthier you! We are a small family-owned and operated business here in Brevard County. We have our communities' health and well-being at heart.

We are prehospital healthcare professionals/educators by day and elderberry makers by night. We are devoted and invested in the wellness of our community in more ways than one. We started our small business with Elderberries when my daughter was having severe asthma and allergies related to pollen and environmental triggers. After developing our own organic spin of elderberry syrup we started to sell and provide to our neighbors, and it was suggested to begin bringing it to Brevard County farmers markets. Most of our events are farmer's markets located throughout our county. During the pandemic, we need to be creative in order to serve our clients and we started selling online and offering curbside contactless pickup and deliveries. We love where we live, and hope to make a healthier you.

Well I’m sad to see this happen. In two weeks, Downtown Produce will close. They have carried our drinks and syrups for the past 4 years. We would restock twice a month if not more.

🚨 Downtown Produce to Close Permanently at the End of 2024 🚨

After over 40 years of serving the Brevard community, Downtown Produce Market & More will close its doors permanently on December 31, 2024 according to the staff. The closure follows the sale of the building to new owners, marking the end of an era for this beloved local business.

Since opening in 1982, Downtown Produce has been a staple in the community, known for its fresh produce, gourmet groceries, and outstanding service. The Aker family has built a legacy that will not soon be forgotten, with generations of customers cherishing the unique shopping experience it provided.

If you want to visit Downtown Produce one last time, they’re located at 7856 Ellis Road, Melbourne. The staff will continue to provide the same high-quality service and products until the very end.

We at The Space Coast Rocket thank Downtown Produce for its decades of contributions to our community and wish the Aker family all the best in their future endeavors.

Our Story

I am a mom to two wonderful kids, a wife of a first responder, a health care educator and provider. I have been an Emergency Department nurse since 2007, and a street paramedic for years before that. I have seen how the flu, allergies and upper respiratory conditions among other things can be debilitating. Helping people is my passion! When learning about and experiencing with elderberry, I felt compelled to share the benefits with my neighbors. The feedback was amazing! We received so much ecouragement to join farmer’s markets and sell our wonderful products. We did and now we have created a small family business. Our goal is to educate our friends, families, and neighbors with an all-natural remedy and effective way to fight colds, flu, allergies, and more! I have met some amazing people and made new friends along the way. As always, if you have any concerns, please consult your family physician before trying any new remedies.
