1. Born and raised in the boot...LA
2. naturally curly hair & I LOVE IT!! hated it in elementary tho

8. Could eat cfa everyday...ate it today lol

16. Was addicted to food and use to binge eat

Why do I love tracking macros? I’m so glad you asked!

Before macros I had a very unhealthy relationship with food & got to the point where I worked out all the time so I could eat whatever I wanted, BUT I wasn’t fueling my body properly, lacked energy, and not seeing the muscle definition I wanted.
Once I started macros I discovered
-I had been undereating
-I wasn’t eating enough protein to gain & maintain muscle
-I was finally fueling my body properly with the right amount of proteins, carbs, and fats
-my metabolism had increased so I could eat more
-I felt free from food bc no foods were off limits
-No more yo yo dieting
-No more guilt & shame from eating sweets or fried foods
-Food no longer controlled me
-No more binge eating
-Way more energy
-I was gaining muscle and getting stronger
-I lost stubborn fat in my midsection
-I gained weight but was wearing the same size or smaller
-I looked forward to holidays & vacation bc I didn’t feel deprived
-Carbs were actually really good for me and I needed them!!

Tracking macros has been a 3 year journey for me. It has become a lifestyle & I love it so naturally I want to share it with everybody! So thankful we get to lead women, help them rise up, and find strength in whatever season of life they may be in physically, mentally, & spiritually. Our tribe is more than a gym but a safe space where you can bring your struggles and be encouraged to keep pressing on. We love our tribe & hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving!!🤎🤎

🖍TEACHER BY DAY, TRAINER BY NIGHT🏋🏻‍♀️.
••.
As teachers start heading back to school and gearing up for another unpredictable year I’m reminded of how far my fitness journey has come.
You see this was my reality not too long ago. I was a first grade teacher for 8 years & a personal trainer part time. My day started at the gym at 5am training clients then I would rush off to school to train up a room full of 6-7 year olds on the basics of reading, writing, and arithmetic, and then would rush back to the gym by 4 to train more clients til 7pm. Why did I do all of that? Because I was passionate about both, but my love for training women and the belief in myself to help women gain strength through physical and mental training far exceeded teaching first grade.

I knew how working out had changed my life. It got me out of depression and binge eating. It gave me confidence in myself to do things I never would have done before. It showed me that I could do hard things & that anything was possible if I put my mind to it. It showed me that the gym is one of the best training grounds for life & I was determined to share that with other women.
So here I am 8 years later after deciding to quit teaching and go full time trainer. Has it been easy? Absolutely not! But it’s been worth every fear and unknown. God has blessed this journey in so many ways and I’m forever grateful for the lessons He’s shown me along the way.

This building is an answer to prayer & proof if you believe in something so strongly God will show up and show out!

This building had to go through a process before we were ready to move in. I dreamed of having my gym here in 2013, but it was a clothing store and then a church. It had purposes to fulfill before I was ready to invest in it. (I like to think we’re carrying on both of those legacies with our mission😉) I wasn’t financially ready & didn’t need that much space back then BUT NOW.....fast forward to a thriving business, amazing loyal clients, & a phenomenal business partner who’s been a Godsend we are ready to help even more women become stronger physically, mentally, & spiritually inside these four walls.

Has this journey been easy? No way!!! But has it been worth it?! You betcha!! We are only just beginning & are ready to welcome you with open arms!

What a crazy time we live in but I am so thankful for technology now more than ever that allows us to stay connected. We are still able to workout through our virtual gym and stay accountable. I have the absolute best clients who are still supporting our gym & staying flexible as we try to navigate our new norm. The best part is knowing we are going to come out stronger on the other side of this!

Today’s workout was such a fun one thanks to ! We used a dice to mix it up and it kept us guessing and sweating! Go check her out!.

10min amrap 🎲 roll
1=10 burpees
2=20 squats
3=20 shoulder taps
