CONGRATULATIONS to Spc.(P) Vincent Deeb, who promoted to the rank of ‘Corporal’ in the U.S. Army.

Deeb is a Licensed Practical Nurse who works in Keller Army Community Hospital’s Post Anesthesia Care Unit/Same Day Surgery.

Pictured with newly promoted Cpl. Deeb is the officiating officer, Capt. Jordan Carbol (left), Commander, Headquarters Company, Keller Army Community Hospital, and Staff Sgt. Sebastian Mauzy (right), Non-Commissioned Officer-in-Charge, General Surgery, Keller Army Community Hospital.

The promotion from the rank of ‘Specialist’ to ‘Corporal’ is a lateral promotion meaning Cpl. Deeb will remain in the same paygrade but will assume responsibilities of a non-commissioned officer. This lateral promotion is intended to foster an environment of developing junior leaders who focus on their people in preparation for higher leadership positions. This effort reinforces “This is My Squad” throughout the Non-Commissioned Officer Corps and forms a key component to a comprehensive junior leader development program.

The Holiday Ruck combined the festivities of the holiday season with fun and fitness. Keller Army Community Hospital is utilizing ‘Scheduled Virtual Visits’ on My Military Health – for some beneficiary appointments.

My Military Health Virtual Visits is replacing the current MHS Video Connect system as your new platform for virtual care.

Scheduled Virtual Visits offer the same high-quality care you expect from an in-person visit from a location that’s convenient and comfortable for you. Virtual video appointments allow you to see your care team without having to take time off work, juggle child or elder care issues, and saves travel time and expense.

All documentation related to a virtual video visit will be captured in your chart in MHS GENESIS. Please be aware that virtual video appointments are not recorded.

If you choose to have an in-person visit, this option is still available.

This is not a change in healthcare, but an evolution in healthcare to better serve the Greater West Point community and our beneficiaries.
