I think Sparrow knows what he’s talking about when it comes to meditation! Check out his article for insightful observations like:

“Quite possibly you shouldn’t meditate. But if you’re determined to try, it’s not terribly difficult. Just expect to waste time twice a day and you’ll do fine.”

Meditation teaches that change is constant. You fool yourself into believing that you are a fixed entity, but you are not. You are a river of transforming whims.

When I first saw the word “non-fear,"...

This quote is from my teacher Susan Piver’s book “Start Here Now: An Open-Hearted Guide to the Path and Practice of Meditation” and is one of the three benefits she’s heard consistently from her students.

Here’s a magical creature from my world (one of my two pups) and I hope you can take some time to acknowledge some magic in your world today too! if so, I’d love to hear what you found! ❤️

In this hyper-competitive world of ours, anything we do may take on the feeling of being in a contest where our skill and efforts are sure to be judged, if not by someone else, then surely by ourselves. One of the things I appreciate most about practicing meditation is that it’s never a competition against anyone or anything but rather always a “practice” where instead of trying to “do our best” we simply “do.” Simply showing up and doing is good enough, each and every time!
