Many of you know of my good friend Sarah Southerland who does reptile rescue and is also an admin on the wriks page for reptile enthusiasts. Sarah takes in true rescues with usually great needs. I have personally seen her at the vet spending tons of her own money to help these poor animals but this time the bill is just too high and she could use our help. Even if it's just a dollar or two every bit helps. Please click on the attached and help save poor Daisy.

I've spent the last 16 months rescuing & rehabilitating bearded dragons & other reptiles in the Salt Lake area. On Monday night, I took in a very sick sulcata tortoise. Yesterday's vet visit yesterday showed she has a MASSIVE urate stone inside of her that must be surgically removed or she will die.

No I'm not depressed, lol but it might be time to get jaeger's nails trimmed. Ouch! This was the result of her struggling about because she didn't want to get out of the pan of paint I was using today to paint the living room wall! Brat! She walked through the paint pan and all over the living room floor, making me have to stop what I was doing, to scrub the floor and give her a bath! Diva lizard!

I gotta say this...... people who think reptiles are not sociable animals and have no need for affection are just plain wrong! My iguana Jaeger is proof of that. Her cage is downstairs but she free roams a lot her choice is always to be where everyone else is. The other day I was sitting in a chair in the living room and she came wandering in and climbed up my leg and sat in my lap. So those people who think they don't crave that attention, don't really pay attention to their animals because if they did they would see they truly do.

Just look at my Ricardo (world's most fabulous kingsnake ever) here thinks he is a tree snake. Of course he is mine all mine but we have several kingsnakes for adoption so you can get one of these awesome animals for yourself.

This sweet little iggy suffers from metabolic bone disease. She sent me some adorable pics but for some reason I can't get them on here but contact her if interested and she will be happy to send you some.

Please note that as rescuers were see lots of horrible situations sure to abuse, neglect, and lack of willingness to educate selves. It's our job to get these animals to new responsible owners who will take their jobs as caretakers seriously. Please when you consider taking on any living thing, make sure you can afford the up keep, make sure you are willing to clean up after them, make sure you are willing to educate yourself on basic needs and make sure your heart is in it before you do it :) Contact Sarah directly for more info.
