Trying to cut back on sugar? Choose NATURALLY occurring sugars (like found in fruit) versus ADDED sugars (like found in processed foods) since they come with the nice bonus of nutritional benefits and dietary fiber. It's been recommended to limit ADDED sugar intake to no more than 10% of your daily energy intake. For most adults, that is about 50 grams of sugar based on a 2,000-calorie diet. Added sugar is generally found in sugar-sweetened processed foods like candy, soft drinks, bread, sauces, fast foods, canned fruits, ketchup, spaghetti sauce. There are 4 types of sugar:
Glucose (naturally found in honey, fruit, grains)
Fructose (naturally found in fruit & vegetables)
Sucrose (naturally found in sugarcane & dates)
Lactose (naturally found in human, cow, goat, milk)

When a muscle or group of muscles is too weak to function properly, the body compensates by using other muscles to try to regain balance. To prevent or correct muscle imbalances:
Stretch: Stretching the core and upper & lower body muscles for 5–10 minutes a day can help.
Stay active: Physical activity throughout the day, even a few minutes every hour, can help keep muscles loose and balanced.

Tight muscles can affect the spine's alignment, so increasing range of motion can help correct poor posture. Here's a simple lumbar spine range of movement exercise that can be done anywhere:
-Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet on the floor.
-Lift your knees towards your chest.
-Place your hands behind both knees and draw them towards your chest.
-Hold 10 secs.
-Repeat 5 times.

Bend your knees not your waist. This helps keep your center of balance and lets your leg muscles do the lifting.
Hug the load. Try to hold the object close to your body as you gradually straighten into a standing position.
Avoid Twisting. Make sure feet, knees, and torso are pointed in the same direction when lifting.

Many people hear 'core' and think abdominal muscles. While these are part of the core, they aren't the only muscle group that makes up the core area. The core muscles also include the erector spinae (the muscles that run along the spine), the inner and outer thighs, and the muscles of the pelvic floor. The deepest core muscle, the transverse abdominis, runs from the ribs to the p***c bone and wraps around the trunk like a corset. This muscle should be engaged during every single core exercise.

FLEXOR MUSCLES play a vital role in POSTURE. They connect the torso to the legs and these muscles attach at the spine, pelvis and femur. These attachments affect the body's ability to stand up straight. Strong hip flexor muscles help prevent an imbalance that can cause muscles and joints that support the torso to over compensate. Hip flexor stretches will help to lengthen tight muscles. Here ya go:
HIP FLEXOR STRETCH
1st begin the stretch in a kneeling lunge position
