Let's celebrate World Sleep Day today and promoting this year's theme is “Sleep Well. Live Better.” This theme underscores the non-negotiable role sleep plays in our overall well-being.

As sleep is not only so important for our complete health, it is also the time where our bodies produce the highest levels of Human Growth Hormone (HGH). The Providence Nocturnal Scoliosis® system is designed around that fact. So today we are showing you how this nocturnal brace works at the same time that your patient is sleeping.
Its objective is to move the apices of scoliotic curves to midline or beyond, through the application of controlled, direct, lateral and de-rotational forces to the spine. This animation shows the process of spinal correction with our Providence Nocturnal Scoliosis® System Board and Brace.

For this case, we’re treating a double (Thoracic and Lumbar) curve.
🌟 The objective of the Providence is to move the curve apices to mid-line, identified as a straight line between C7 and S1.

🌟Without the need to support under the forces of gravity, the most efficient application of force involves directly targeting the apex of the curve with a vector that is perpendicular to midline, while incorporating elements of de-rotation.

Spinal Technology was founded in 1991 by Jim Tierney, the President and owner of Spinal Technology, Inc. Over 40 years ago, Jim began his career in Orthotics and Prosthetics at Children’s Hospital in Boston, where he earned the confidence of physicians whom he assisted in managing patients with scoliosis and kyphosis diagnoses.
