May is Mental Awareness Month and we don't often think about the mental health of scoliosis patients and how this new journey affects adolescent patients. Hearing the diagnosis, learning about the treatment options and figuring out how to process it all can be overwhelming.
Fortunately there are several groups that kids can join to talk to other members of the scoli squad like Higgy Bears or Scolios-us and Curvy Girls Scoliosis Foundation. Check them out for more info on their mentor groups, zoom meetings or in person events near you!
