Sabbat Blessings 🌞✨

Lammas or Lughnassadh celebrations begin today, where giving thanks for Spirit’s blessings in harvest, abundance & solar energy are at the forefront of this Greater Sabbat. This is a time to celebrate, feast, & start making preparations for winter. There is often focus on the romantic enchantments of this feast, being a wonderful night for love magic & enjoying the first fruits of harvest. In ancient festivities, celebrations took place for a fortnight preceding & following August 1st, for a total of 4 weeks. However, modern practices focus on August 1st & the eve prior.

Today is the feast of Archangel Uriel, a beautiful time to connect to Spirit. Uriel, also known as the Patron of Prophecy, is the Archangel of wisdom, truth, & guidance. Commonly portrayed carrying a book or scroll to symbolize wisdom, this angelic guardian protects the Tree of Life & the Southern direction (Gabriel protecting the North, Michael the East, & Raphael the West). The name Uriel translates to God is my Light or Fire of God.
