✨ Lot D (image one) ‘Abuela en el Mar’ by Ernesto Cabral de Luna. The final bid on this lot will be matched with a donation of up to $4,000 by the Shevlen Family Foundation.

Cabral de Luna uses a cherished family photograph of his grandmother on a 1960s vacation to explore memory, migration, and inherited distance. Transferred onto broken coloured glass, the image becomes a fragile yet luminous reflection on the nature of preservation.

Cocker subjects are rooted in fragments of images, like a figure or a landmark or a story that he has heard. There is a distinct familiarity to his work as both the landscape and figures connect in a way that invoke a memory or spirit.

Amisich is an artist whose work is characterized by a unique use of acrylic, exploring themes of technology and nostalgia. Amisich attempts to envelop the viewer in a large post painterly world of colour.

✨Lot 4 (image one) ‘Untitled’ by Michael Harrington. Courtesy of Galerie de Bellefeuille and Galerie St. Laurent + Hill.

Harrington applies his representational craft to a broad range of subject matter inspired by cinema, theatre, literature, music, family folklore, and personal memory. His narratives provide comment on issues of mortality, status, work stress, virility, and esteem.

Moran spent a year living in Bordeaux, France with her family. During that time, she made a series of small oil on linen works, influenced by her proximity to the art of Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet, Auguste Renoir, and Paul Gaugin, and based on very quick and loose impressions she had sketched while visiting different areas near her home.

Okoro explores the emotional and physiological resonance of colour – how it shapes, reveals, and refracts our inner and outer states. What began as a scientific inquiry into colour perception during the artist’s neuroscience studies has now evolved into a visual language of intimacy and inquiry. Inspired by the legacy of Black women artists who have mined colour’s narrative power, this work is also a meditation on tenderness, memory, and mood.

Bélanger explores identity through mixed media and self-portraiture. His process involves merging large - format n**e photography of his body with abstract marks to reveal moments of truth, vulnerability, and transformation.

Bierk is known for work that explores the intersection of memory, history, and place. Bierk draws inspiration from personal photography and the photorealistic painting tradition to create candid and authentic expressions of emotional and lived experiences

Santon explores the idea of landscape from a fixed point of view - as if the artist is the viewer looking out from behind a window. The surface of the painting becomes active, like condensation dripping down a glass pane.

Lot A (image one) ‘Of Red Still Waters, Mice and Gilded Books’ by Pardiss Amerian courtesy of Zalucky Contemporary.

Amerian’s practice is a process-based exploration of painting and collage driven by narrative asides as a way to address temporality and trans historicity, with an emphasis on nature and myth.

Lot B (image two) ‘Tryst with Destiny’ by Keerthana Jhutty. The final bid on this lot will be matched with a donation of up to $3000 by the Shevlen Family Foundation.

Jhutty’s compositions. are heavily influenced by poetry, classical Indian literature, and the fading recollections of a childhood in India.

Jean-Luc Lindsay believes the act of noticing is a reflective activity. The jacket is from the artist’s house.

The Art With Heart 2025 collection is now LIVE!

Browse 79 stunning artworks by some of the country’s most celebrated and emerging artists - from bold paintings to captivating prints - this vibrant collection of Canadian contemporary art is available to explore now by visiting artwithheart.ca.

This collection was proudly assembled by the Art With Heart 2025 curatorial committee. Made up of artists, curators, gallerists, and patrons – these are leaders in the visual arts whose expertise and passion are unmatched.

This group works tirelessly to source and select every piece of extraordinary art for the auction. Together, they have curated a stunning collection of contemporary works, all of which are available for bidding on auction night.

Casey House was delighted to host first and second year medical students from the The University of Toronto Department of Family and Community Medicine during Family Medicine Immersion (FMI) week. This opportunity allows students to explore what a career in medicine can look like through different real-world community experiences including at our HIV specialty hospital. Students received a unique experience interacting with clients and being taught by Dr. Ed Kucharski, our chief medical officer and an assistant professor for the department. Here, they learned more about how Casey House offers a compassionate and holistic approach to health care.

Survey findings from before and after FMI week reveal that students strongly improved their perception of generalist medicine and primary care after their participation. Also, they stated that mentorship they received positively influenced them to pursue a career in family medicine.

We are pleased to see the next generation of family medicine practitioners learning more about the impacts of HIV stigma and importance of low-barrier care. As we learned during our Stigmavir awareness campaign, 1 in 5 people living with HIV are denied health care because of stigma. We hope to have ignited minds about going beyond the biometrics of client care, and to lead their practice with dignity and empathy.

Wow! What a blast! Casey House had so much fun being back at the Toronto Pride parade 🏳️‍🌈 This year, our float theme “House of Pride” spotlights transgender people out and proud in full display. 🏳️‍⚧️ As Canada’s HIV specialty hospital, it was important for us to celebrate the vibrant and diverse trans folks that really make Pride special. Plus, it’s a great starting point to commemorate our trans health hub newly launched this year which will provide new and improved services to support trans clients. We love marching each year with our amazing staff, volunteers, peers, clients, and friends of Casey House! It's such a positive experience to share with our community being their true authentic selves. Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer us on and celebrate Pride! 🌈✨

The Pride weekend is right around the corner and we hope that you all stay safe (and dry☔️) for all the festivities ahead.

🎪Our bright red Casey House tent will be up all weekend long near Gloucester St. and Church St., come say hi!

🏳️‍⚧️As always, Casey House will be marching in the Pride parade on Sunday and we cannot wait to show you our incredible float.

Casey House enjoyed a bright summer solstice today with a ceremony led by our Indigenous advisory committee ☀️ This gathering coincided with national Indigenous Peoples' Day tomorrow, June 21. Summer solstice is significant for many Indigenous populations to celebrate and connect with one another as we welcome the new season. It was an excellent occasion to offer medicines to our new sacred fire, sing songs, pray, and enjoy a feast of “Indian tacos”. Keeping the good vibes going, we also recognized Pride month by using fierce rainbow-leopard print fabric for our to***co ties.

We’ve been grateful to our IAC members who have contributed so much of their time, expertise, and knowledge to creating opportunities for community at Casey House, and we can’t wait to continue hosting more events!

Casey House was delighted to celebrate staff and volunteer milestones of service at our annual Hearts of Service ceremony ❤️ 💐

Staff and volunteers were celebrated for 5, 10, 15, 20, and even a jaw dropping 35 years of dedication for one volunteer – and Casey House was established 37 years ago!

This year, we also took a moment to recognize the amazing efforts of our peer chefs from June’s HIV+ Eatery. While we made the difficult decision not continue the event, we wanted to celebrate the amazing peer chefs that were at the heart of the June's by inviting them to gather together one more time.

We are grateful to be able to provide support and services to our community thanks to the phenomenal people who fill our House with love. Each person contributes a wealth of knowledge, skill, and heart that makes us better. Congratulations to all who were recognized last night and thank you to everyone who contributes their service to Casey House 🫶

We are more than a place that saves lives, we are a place that speaks up, shines understanding through compassion, and empowers our clients to get better. We make our clients’ humanity more visible than their disease.
