Hi! This is the new page for Nature Nurture Sleep. I’m planning some changes throughout this year and will be posting here more and retiring the Nature Nurture Sleep page. So come on over!
⠀
For those who don’t know me, Hi! I’m a mum of 2 (a 6 yr old and 3 yr old), I have a PhD in Neuroscience, and I’m an infant and child sleep consultant. I’m really interested in helping parents understand the science of paediatric sleep and development.
⠀
As a neuroscientist, I’ve published >25 peer-reviewed scientific papers that have been cited over 2000 times and have taught at a few universities. Also, I have completed a DONA/CAPPA approved breastfeeding course, and am a Certified Sleep & Well-Being Specialist.
⠀
I’m currently offering individualized support for parents of babies or toddlers. My holistic approach is based in development and is scientifically-sound to help your baby sleep the way nature intended.
⠀
My sleep philosophy supports responsive and attachment parenting. There is no cry-it-out or “sleep training” here.
⠀
Some fun facts about me:
- I’ve lived in 4 different cities, all in Canada
- My first car was a tiny green Geo Metro hatchback
- I love animals! If I could go back in time I think I would be a veterinarian
- I love to crochet and just started sewing again (I used to sew in junior high/high school)
⠀
I’m not a big fan of social media. I have a love-hate relationship with it. I post when I want, share things that I truly appreciate, and *try* not to worry about algorithms (although if no one sees the post, it defeats the purpose). Remember to check back often in case you miss something. Email list coming soon.
⠀
I’d love to hear from you! 👋 Drop a comment or question. Or just say hi and post the emoji you use most. Mine is 💩 haha!
