1 make your bed! Make a habit of making your bed everyone morning- it will set the tone for the day and start your day with a win, a sense of accomplishment and organization!

2 take an internal bath! The human body on average is about 60% water. Drinking a cold glass of water in the morning can be beneficial for rehydration, alertness, and potentially aiding digestion. It can help combat morning dehydration, improve focus, and potentially ease constipation! Dehydration can significantly impact brain function. When the body, including the brain, lacks sufficient water, it can lead to reduced cognitive performance, headaches, and even changes in brain structure! Replenish yourself each morning to start it off right!

3 brief morning cardio is great to add into your morning routine. Brief morning cardio offers several benefits, including boosting your metabolism, increasing energy levels, and improving focus and mood throughout the day. Even a short workout can jumpstart your circulation, enhance mental clarity, and potentially contribute to better sleep patterns, according to fitness publications!

7 things neuroscience says to stop saying to yourself! Your brain listens to every word you say — even the silent onesNeuroscience shows that repeated self-talk literally rewires your brain. And not always in a good way. This is called negative plasticity - when repeated negative thoughts strengthen the brain's stress, fear, and self-criticism circuits.Over time, they become your brain's default settings. But here's the good news:Just as the brain can learn the wrong habits, it can also unlearn them — and build new, healthier ones. This is the power of positive neuroplasticity, and it starts with changing how you talk to yourself.

As a momma to 3 boys, a wife to an amazing man, and a best friend to a great guy I want them all to know that it’s okay to be afraid. It’s okay to cry. It’s okay to need someone or to ask for help. It’s okay to be vulnerable. It’s okay to admit you’re hurting. It’s okay to admit you’re wrong. It’s okay to not be okay. I promise with all my heart that I will always be there to listen and to not judge and to give the extra light or love you’re needing at the time. I can only hope and pray that they all know they can come to me with anything and it is okay. I will always do what I can to support you in finding a way forward and getting through whatever you need to get through.

Men, it is okay to not be okay. Reach out to the people in your life when you are feeling down or needing extra love support or guidance. The right people will not think any less of you; they will in fact commend you for the strength it takes to be vulnerable. We would rather hold you while you cry than attend your funeral. You are loved. I hope you all have a safe person 🫶🏼

As we head into the weekend it's important to remember that though drinking has been a very social aspect of our society and culture- it can be very damaging to your mental and physical health.
If you choose to drink, please do so responsibly and absolutely do not drive or boat or wonder.
Finding other ways to have fun and consume your time and be social can be a summer goal if you associate friends and summer with alcohol. There are plenty of ways to have fun that benefit your mental and physical health rather than deteriorate it.

Hyper independence comes from a place of previous let downs, fear, abandonment, and avoidance. Being independent is good, knowing how and enjoying to do things alone is great, but making your whole personality one that says and swears you "hate people" and "don't need people" and "can't count anyone" is severely damaging to yourself, your brain, further development, life satisfaction and overall wellbeing. Social isolation and loneliness each independently have more than a 25% increased risk for significant health issues and not just mental health issues like anxiety, depression or suicidal ideation, but other diseases, particularly heart disease, stroke, diabetes and dementia. In fact, studies suggest that loneliness and social isolation are associated with a shorter lifespan, increased risk of heart disease, high blood pressure and even death. Enjoy yourself for sure, but do not isolate yourself or push away any good thing, any form of support or interaction and interdependence, you deserve happy you deserve social you deserve to live

We often cut other adults some slack and give reason that "they must have a lot going on" or
"they're under a lot of pressure" and we understand and are compassionate about how difficult life can be. When it comes to kids we often label their hard days or undesirable behaviours as "difficult" "lazy" "ungrateful" or
"giving us a hard time". Many seem to forget that kids are just tiny humans and it's our job to teach them how to function in the world. We expect and appreciate grace and forgiveness on our hard days or difficult responses or forgetfulness, but we in turn throw all these labels at our children rather than provide them patience and compassion and guide them through their hard days and difficult emotions. Practice patience and communication with your kids so that their childhood (your parenthood) and their adult life can go smoother and have less hard days and meltdowns throughout. Humans all just need love and support

Popular comment: As an ECE I agree 100%! Kids need our understanding and patience

May is mental health awareness month
Today is national cha ana youth mental health day! 1 in 5 children and youth experience a mental health problem, 5 of 6 of those kids will not receive the treatment they need. Early mental health intervention can improve long term outcomes, reduce long term costs and increase resilience and confidence. 2% of children and 4 to 8% of adolescents experience major depressive disorder. 1 in 12 children and 1 in 4
adolescents live with anxiety disorders. 1.2%
many statistics I could go over forever but the most important thing is to check in with your children, keep open and honest discussions and reach out for professional support for you children or yourself when necessary. You are not alone
