After 10 years of managing her spine, seeing that curve come back was a wake-up call.

Evelyn stopped waiting and took action.

Just 3 months into specialized care with bracing and therapy, her posture improved, and her curve started correcting faster than she ever expected.

She started skeptically. Now she's amazed.

If your condition came back, would you ignore it or fix it for good?

Debilitating headaches. Constant nerve and joint pain.

It got so bad that she couldn’t work or even do the things she loved.

Then she found a solution she didn’t expect.

With consistent bracing just a few hours a day, not only did the pain disappear, but her spinal curves improved by 7° with lasting results.

Now? No more headaches. No more nerve pain. Just a life she thought she lost.

If you were told to just “live with the pain" would you accept it?

Your spine isn’t meant to be straight.

From the side view, it has natural curves, like lordosis (the inward curve in your neck and lower back) that help you stay balanced, move well, and absorb daily stress.

When that curve changes:

• Too much (hyperlordosis) → your spine arches too far
• Too little (hypolordosis) → your spine becomes too flat

Both can affect posture, movement, and cause pain.

💡 Small changes can make a big difference over time.

The Back in Balance Challenge was created to help people build awareness of everyday posture and movement habits.

But for many people — especially those living with scoliosis — awareness is only the first step.

Scoliosis is not just a posture habit.
It’s a three-dimensional spinal condition that often requires more specific, guided care.

That’s where ScoliBalance comes in.

ScoliBalance is ScoliCare’s clinician-led, evidence-based program, designed to support people with scoliosis through tailored strategies that improve:

• Posture
• Strength
• Breathing
• Spinal control

If the Back in Balance challenge helped you notice something feels uneven, restricted, or “not quite right”, it may be time to take the next step.

A comprehensive spinal assessment can help you understand what’s happening and what support may help moving forward.

The data is clear.

Studies show 72% of braced patients avoided surgery, compared to 48% without results so strong that the trial ended early for ethical reasons.📊

Even more striking, rigid braces showed over 90% success in preventing progression in some groups, compared to around 65% with soft braces.

That is a significant difference when it comes to long-term outcomes. The right brace can change your trajectory.

Are you choosing based on evidence or guesswork?

Soft braces may feel better… but do they actually work?

Posture habits don’t appear overnight.
They show up in small everyday patterns:

📱 how you hold your phone
🎒 how you carry your bag
🪑 how you sit at your desk
🪞 what you notice in the mirror

Most of the time, we don’t realise these patterns are happening.

This card is your reminder to pause and notice.

Because awareness is the first step to supporting your spine.

Can bad posture cause scoliosis? 🤔
Short answer: No.

But here’s what you should know 👇
Scoliosis is a condition where the spine curves and rotates — and while poor posture doesn’t cause it, postural changes are often the earliest sign.

👀 What to look for:
• Uneven shoulders
• One hip higher than the other
• Rib cage sticking out on one side
• A visible lean

These subtle changes can be easy to miss — especially in kids.
✨ Why it matters: Scoliosis is progressive, especially during growth. The earlier it’s detected, the better the outcomes.

👉 If you’ve noticed changes in posture, don’t wait. Early assessment can make a big difference.

What does the research actually say about scoliosis bracing?

Rigid braces have strong evidence behind them, including landmark studies showing significantly lower progression to surgical levels compared to observation.

Soft braces like SpineCor have some support, but studies show higher progression rates compared to rigid bracing.

That does not mean one is always better, but it highlights the importance of choosing the right tool for the right case.

Tap & hold to pull your Growth Check card!

Growth spurts change more than just height. During the teen years, the spine grows quickly — and this is when scoliosis is most likely to appear or progress.

Sometimes the signs are subtle:
• one shoulder higher
• uneven waist
• rib prominence when bending

Most of the time, they appear gradually.

A simple growth check can bring reassurance and clarity. If something looks uneven, book a spinal assessment with ScoliCare.

It’s not just soft vs. rigid, it’s how correction happens.

Soft braces use low force and rely on movement and neuromuscular retraining, while rigid braces apply higher corrective forces to create measurable alignment changes.

Both have a role, but the right choice depends on your curve, goals, and stage of care.

Understanding this difference is key to getting real results.
