Kim Wallant • True North Creative Therapy/True North Studio Growth Mindset for College Students (5-10 wk online): learn to get out of your head, into your heart

I support college students in getting out of their heads and into their hearts during their journey towards what they want in life. I guide them in shifting to a growth perspective and devising a system of personal accountability that favors success. Although I am a licensed counselor and art therapist, I will work with them as their guide and coach. This means that we focus on strengths and dream

s, not the past. Our confidential sessions are not therapy and do not appear on the student’s insurance or academic records. True North Creative Therapy, LLC, now located in midcoast Maine, recently launched Growth Mindset Coaching for College Students, a 5- or 10-week program that uses expressive/mindful practices to help your young adult stop overthinking, appreciate their strengths, and move intentionally towards their goals. In weekly, one-on-one online phone or video sessions, I support them in defining priorities and creating a step-by-step plan to move them along their chosen paths. To to see if we are a good fit and if this program is right for your student, contact me at kimwallant.com to schedule a no cost, 15-minute phone consultation.

Our Story

Kim Wallant, LMHC, RPT, ATR, helps parents find solutions to everyday problems with children that build life skills. Are your kids acting out, defiant, or moody? Do they get along with others or have friends? Our simple parenting program gives you tools to guide your kids in problem-solving and coping with the challenges of growing up. If your child struggles with temper tantrums, impulsive behavior, moodiness, or social isolation, or if you have trouble really "getting" what makes your kid "tick," you can find resources here that help you help your child. Discover the keys to a more peaceful, happy family where your child has renewed confidence and a better ability to interact successfully with you and with others.

Kim currently has the privilege of being a full-time child art and play therapist in The Conservatory School in North Palm Beach, a Palm Beach County public magnet school for the performing arts. She provides emotional and behavioral support for students, grades K through middle school, who need an extra dose of love and patience.
