❄️💙 Keeping Our Little Ones Warm During a Blizzard 💙❄️
Snow days can be magical — but extreme cold can be tough on little bodies. Here are a few gentle reminders to help your family stay cozy and safe:
🧥 Layer up! Dress kiddos in thin layers (avoid cotton if possible), then add fleece or wool. Even indoors, layers help trap warmth better than one bulky sweatshirt.
🧦 Don’t forget tiny toes & ears! Warm socks, slippers, and even a soft hat inside can make a big difference.
🏠 Make a cozy family space. Close off unused rooms, gather in one warm area, and pile on the blankets for a movie or story time.
🍲 Warm tummies = warm bodies. Offer soups, oatmeal, warm milk, or cocoa. Snuggly snacks help keep energy up.
💛 Snuggle time counts! Sharing blankets and staying close helps everyone stay warmer (pets included!).
🚨 Safety reminders:
Never use ovens or outdoor grills to heat your home.
Keep space heaters away from blankets and little hands.
Watch for signs of hypothermia: shivering, unusual sleepiness, or confusion.
As always, if you’re worried about your child, we’re here for you. Stay safe, stay warm, and enjoy those snowy snuggles! ☃️✨
